There are a whole of bad apples more than good tho lol Just because u have cop friends doesnt mean u have to be so biased in ur world view

Also If you have bad experience with cops does not make all cops in the world evil. Try to make some sense when arguing please.

Well in Finland they are a ''squad'' as every other professions are. You are making whole lot of assumptions based on nothing. I have many friends who are cops and they are good people and would never use racist slurs.

I understand if you have personal experience on your countries police, but you can't just bluntly slay that ''all cops are awful''.

I just open my eyes and ears to what's going on, it's very simple to make the conclusion

This is the concern? Protecting police feelings when POC are getting murdered and going without justice?

I get your point but I don’t think this is the time for this discussion

The concern is that people are generalizing to combat generalization, and it just doesn't work like that.

Of course it's important that places where people are being killed by the police are reformed and changed in a way that the system is, in fact, in favor of the citizens instead of the system itself.

But it's also important to look for places where the system is generally beneficial for the citizens as an example, such as Finland, or many other European countries. Yes, there is also corruption in Europe, as there is everywhere there's a human being. And the few exceptions just prove the rule.

But it doesn't creep nearly as much as in places like South America or the United States. There's lots of reasons for these things to be so prevalent in these places, so let's focus on changing those systemic causes instead of trying to attack people that have nothing to do with it.

This one so much. Thank you for having some understanding and seeing my point of view.

Again there are bad people everywhere. This does not change the facts that you can not categorize people based on their profession.

Saying the problem 'is the cops'  ....

Saying the problem is black people ...

This is the communication failure of the media and the people viewing the information available ...

The problem is with criminals ...

The problem is with policing failures of said criminals ...

Criminal mentality is a systemic problem with society ....

Racial profiling by racist 'departments' and individuals is a systemic problem that innocent people face everyday ...

And a media sensationalizing news stories around these types of events ...

In my opinion....

like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. My words give a clue, look inside to see whats true

I think we should use the Finnish way of doing things as a model for the US and other parts of the world. It's obviously incredibly affective.

So much of the issue here in the US is the training. It's essentially pseudo-military. While that's a part of being a cop, there  needs to be so much more training about non-violent. It seems now it's more a kill or be killed thing. That, of course, is going to draw in the type that wants to do just that. But if part of the cop's training was psychology, social working, etc., we might have a kindler, gentler police force that entices more than just racist meatheads (on average) to join.

I dont understand people who always come back with the argument "not all..."

Yes.

And it ALWAYS move the topic in discussion to the "not everyone" side. Do you see that in the following posts the subject shifted to the problem within the police to Finland police doing a good job?

Just because you used a general statement? Yes it bugs me as well.

We know not all police are bad.

We know not all white people are racist.

We know not all men hate women.

That's not in what we should focus.
