I appreciate that he wants to help artists, I just wonder how long it will take for them to get that 50%. Is there a gap in years? I feel bad for him but I do think what he says about the music industry might be true. It does seem like the contracts and all the legal and financial stuff behind the scenes is exhausting and artists are upset and stressed they can not own all their work. They put in the hard work to make the music but at the same time, the label does promote it and they have the connections and knowledge to make things happen. Still, I do feel artists sometimes feel like a cash machine who feel like they are stuck in a contract.
