Will Gaga drag Chromatica during the next era?

I’ve been stanning her since 2008 and never once have I gotten the impression that she drags her previous albums or eras. She grows as an artist, sure, but I believe she’s just a chameleon changing who still respects where she’s been cuz it’s taken her to where she’s at.

Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years.

My thoughts exactly. I don’t remember her “dragging” any of her albums. If anything she always points out how she has stuck to her guns every single time.

The fans have to somehow twist her words to justify their distastes for parts of her discography :bear:

Considering this music and it’s visuals are better than anything she’s released for Joanne or ARTPOP, I don’t think she’ll have anything negative to say.

She didn't. Stop trying to make it seem she despises Joanne when she doesn't.

never said she despises it lol. stop trying to make it seem she's not content with it. she even gives you the reasons as to why that's the case. I like Joanne, tho, but in that era she was basically dragging everything she did in the past eras. there are countless quotes from 5ft2 and interviews that prove it. now she loves being Gaga (as an artist) again, and that's reflected on Chromatica. god, she even says that in every interview this era! Joanne era and fthe following years was her darkest time ever as an artist and as a person.

Like other responses in this thread, I can't recall her ever really dragging her work/output or saying anything was insincere or put-on; just saying certain eras were rougher than others, and that's not really a drag but a reflection of her emotions and circumstances.

Like, the closest I can think to 'dragging' any work/output aren't even real drags. Her feelings about rewatching 'Telephone' nowadays, saying she was 'confused and post-traumatic' and had 'twisted thinking' and 'poor judgment' when making DWUW with R. Kelly -- those seem more like reflections to me, not mockery or making fun of them.

Only thing I'll give you is her laughing when an interviewer brought up Volantis :stalkga: that could've been an actual drag lol

She said something about getting her creativity back when she filmed 911. I think Chromatica will be praised as the album that helped her get back a part of her that she had lost.

Supplement your claims with actual quotes then because they seem too vague. We all have listened to her interviews and watched FFT but don't remember any instances of her tearing down or being regretful of her own past work.

Also, talking about and acknowledging a darker time during an album doesn't mean she is turning on her own work. She fully owns her depression and has even said multiple times that "she had to go through what she had to in order to become a better artist and person". She has also said that she has "always stuck to her guns every time" and that "she knows her legacy is authentic and she will look back on it fondly when she is on her deathbed" (paraphrasing both)

Y'all are trying to put words in her mouth.

No, you're just putting words in Gaga's mouth, which isn't a good look.

If anything, I think she’ll have nothing good to say about the Chromatica era. The album was released during the pandemic, couldn’t promote it the way she planned, postponed the tour, and everything else happening with riots and increase in violence. I’m sure she won’t miss the Chromatica era. She didn’t release it during a happy time. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if she ends up cancelling the tour completely.

Ugh I know there’s still a decent chance of tour cancellation but I really hope it goes through :messga: I would be devastated to not see Chromatica live

this. sadly, she was clearly lost as an artist after ARTPOP. and I'm not discrediting everything she did in Joanne, it's a personal journey she went through and without it, she wouldn't have made Chromatica and wouldn't be the person she is now. as she said, she's back on track

It seems to be the running trend every era. I just hope in LG7 she doesn’t ignore performing Chromatica songs.

ROM is a number one under her belt so I highly doubt she’ll ignore that in the future at concerts.

I agree with this!

Also I’m curious to know which interview you’re referring to, I don’t remember it! Was it recent?

Has she drag Joanne or the ASIB?

She usually always have something negative or less than positive to say about previous eras.
