but she's saying that now... and she's saying it proudly and it's not a drag to the album? she's in a much better place rn..

Yeah exactly, she can't drag it that way because it's basically the album theme.

Do you feel him sir?

Nah, her attitude really changed with Chromatica. she says that all the time lately. she's loving herself and Lady Gaga again. that was just a dark phase in her life as a person and as an artist after ARTPOP and before Chromatica. Joanne is the product of that mindset and she was dragging everything she did in her first 5 years of her career, which was so sad. You see it clearly in 5ft2. Now she's, in her words, "a whole new bitch" so, no :vegas:

she didn't. She just said that she was disappointed it couldn't fix her dad and made her realize that no matter how big she is, she can't fix her dad.

Where is the drag? She even said it was a beautiful experience creating the album with Mark in the Zane interview (the Chromatica one)

She didn't. Stop trying to make it seem she despises Joanne when she doesn't.

I don’t know if I’d say she’s dragged her albums, she’s just been open about her personal experiences and how they naturally go hand in hand with her albums since her music is so personal, as are her aspirations for each album. She never dragged Joanne as an album, she just spoke about how it impacted her personal life.

Gaga cares about her personal growth. She's an authentic person. Nobody's life is 100% perfect all the time and we should accept that it's the same for her and there is a chance she might not associate great memories with the album or have good feelings about it. But I get the impression that making Chromatica was therapeutic for her so I think she'll have good things to say about it.  I don't think she'll drag it but may openly talk about how she was feeling when she made it and what she was going through at that time like she has been doing already.

This isn't true.

She has NEVER disowned the music, the era or her persona during that era. The only thing that she has said in regards to the album is that "it failed to heal her Dad"

How is that her "dragging" the album?

This feels like unnecessary twisting of her own words to justify your personal tastes (or distastes, in this instance)

I don't think she ever dragged The Fame, TFM and Born This Way :poot:

Umm... when has she specifically "dragged" her past albums? She even said in her Zane Lowe interview that (paraphrasing her) "when she is on her death bed, she will know that her legacy is authentic"

That basically means she is choosing to stick by whatever she has released, whether it was good or bad, received positively or negatively so :oprah:

My thoughts exactly. I don’t remember her “dragging” any of her albums. If anything she always points out how she has stuck to her guns every single time.

She doesn't drag her past work.

What she does do is build it up in her mind while she's working on it and releasing it, as having "cured her" "healed her" "made her find herself again" etc.

This is a coping strategy imo, because she WANTS to be better, WANTS to be healed. But of course mental illness doesn't work that way, and it's right there with her onto the next project. This doesn't mean, at all, that she's not proud of her work or finds it inauthentic. Maybe more like a diary that's hard to go back and read
