McConnel is a partisan hack that may not even win his own seat in November. Hopefully, there will be enough republicans that have the decency to acknowledge that the democrats in this country would be incredibly angry if the GOP senators chose to put party politics over the good of the country.  Clinton got 3 million more votes for President than Trump got. Clinton won the popular vote by a wide margin. It would be a very unpopular thing for republicans to shove through another justice from the same catholic high school. 

If the republicans control the senate in 2021, Biden may not get his first pick confirmed.

Hope I dont get wps for saying it, but unless the politicians involved in these decisitions see their own lives at risk, (thats the lightest way I can say what I want to say), I dont see how America has a way out.

If BLM didnt achieve anything in these last few months, then I dont understand how any of you think marching the streets for this will achieve anything.

I think it'll be a lot tougher for the GOP to confirm someone than a lot of us think right now.

idk all of these ****ers hesitate and cast a vote in the affirmative (except romney on impeachment). they’re gonna get their nomination through before the election imo and that’s... pretty much it.

hopefully people learn something about voting from this (but i doubt it)

Vote Biden, third party or don’t vote at all. Not you saying the word “coherent” as if voting is not a choice. It is. And those who regularly don’t, are the most disenfranchised by the system itself. Realize voting was born for supporting someone who has similar values as you, not just a tool to crush the other side for no reason like its a football game.

We have to do everything we can. No act is too small. Our future is not guaranteed — we're going to have to fight for it.

She fought for civil rights like none other, and it's a truly unfortunate that we not only lost her, but lost her in this pivotal point in the race.

For the love of god, please vote for Biden. Please vote for Democrats across the board, but particularly in the Senate. This is gonna be one hell of a fight and we need everyone to participate.

Our only hope is that whoever he picks won't end up being as conservative as we think. I can't remember the name of his appointee, but he was the one that proved pivotal in some recent Supreme Courty rulings (particularly ones related to LGBTQ rights). He, fortunately in those instances, wasn't as conservative as Republicans thought he'd be.

I also would like to take a moment to mourn the loss of one of my personal heros.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a trailblazer, a champion of the marginalized, and a downright kick ass woman. 

I can't find the words to express how much of a personal loss this is for me while holding back tears. I send so much love to her family, friends, colleagues, and those whose lives she made immeasurably better. 

This is an astronomical loss.
