Hybrid AT 78
I think it's difficult for any artist to replicate Thriller's success but I do think Gaga is the only one who can come closest to replicate that if she were to re-peak again However, I still don't think selling 20M albums is possible. Not in today's sales climate. "I was protected by the monks of Azarath, I was raised by my friends. They are my family, this is my home and you are not welcome here." Nobody's selling 20m, barely even 2 million anymore now that streaming's around, and barely anyone gets three #1's from the same era anymore.

Three top 10s or top 5s is more realistic to these current time. And she’s realistically past that stage in her career. Not to say she’s not successful, because she is. But something close to the level of Thriller is something that’s very very hard to achieve 12+ years into your career.
Guest
Bad Romance is her biggest hit, no doubt. But unfortunately i never see her getting the same impact on people as MJ did, too many years of her career have passed

Guest Adarsh
TF(M) is the highest certified female era of all time according to the RIAA. The album and EP are 11x platinum with 2 diamond singles and Just Dance will be diamond soon. I think she’s already had her Thriller moment but who knows what the future holds. Lucas 26,757
1) At least 3 #1 hits no 2) 3 legendary videos on the scale of TFM absolutely yes 3) A video even more legendary than Bad Romance would be hard but it's possible 4) Even more culturally relevant than TFM, as an artist would be hard but it's possible 5) Have the album sell at least 20M units no
FentyGa 14,340
no way lmao she’d have to have good promo, dedication, innovative music, and payola i dont see it happening for her
The Clown 539
The era of big stars is over. Because everybody can stream whatever they like, it's very likely no era will ever reach Thriller levels of cultural impact. Heck, I have a hard time imagining any act within the next decade topping The Fame Monster, Teenage Dream, 21 or 1989.

It’s the highest certified female era of all time. Adele is not even #2, that’s Teenage Dream.

And to answer the question, she’s past that phase in her career. The closest thing to Thriller levels was TFM era, as it had 3 amazing videos and three top 10 hits. Then again, I don’t think anyone will ever reach the heights of the Thriller era. I would say maybe only Katy ever got close to that level of immense worldwide success with Teenage Dream. Thriller was literally the biggest selling album of two consecutive years and spent 37 weeks at #1. It was a once in music history event. Wouldn’t Adele’s 21 count then
HeavyMetalLover 16
Maybe not specifically this, but she could have her own version of it at some point. A lot can change in just a few years. Regardless of how any of you may have felt about her lately, she isn’t to be underestimated. She’s going to do a lot more still that will surprise us. i don't remember ARTPOP
