Transgender woman wins GOP primary with campaign slogan “F**k the police”

In a surprising win, Aria DiMezzo has won the GOP primary race in Cheshire County, New Hampshire. DiMezzo describes herself as a “transsexual Satanist anarchist” and ran with the campaign slogan “**** the police.”

Now as backlash to her win builds, she’s castigating voters for picking her in the first place without doing any research about the candidate they were voting for.

DiMezzo, originally celebrated her win, telling Free Keene, “It is with great joy that I receive this nomination from the Republicans of Cheshire County, who, in an era of Donald Trump, showed their tolerance and dedication to the principles of small-government by nominating the trans anarchic High Priestess of the Reformed Satanic Church to be sheriff.”

Sarcasm aside, DiMezzo pointed out the local and state parties did not support her candidacy.

“More than 4,000 people went into the voting booth on September 8 this week, and they all filled in the circle by my name despite knowing absolutely nothing about the person they were nominating to the most powerful law enforcement position in the county,” she wrote.

Im actually curious if she would do some changes with the position she won or this is just a lesson to always research who you vote for.

Also, conservatives probably voted for just because of her party and how white her name sounds.

It’s New Hampshire. New England Republicans are a lot different than Southern Republicans. To them it’s all lower taxes and limited government but their secretly liberals socially, to the Southern religious Republicans it’s a whole other ballpark of socially conservative and religious motives.

Perhaps but definitely not on the same level or to the same degree. It's a false equivalency.

Have you ever even visited rural areas and red parts of the country before? It's like a cult and they literally outcast those who don't vote Republican and it's just not accepted to vote any other way. 

It's very different and there's major double standards when it comes to Republican politicians versus Democratic ones, where Democrats actually are held accountable and Republicans largely aren't.

To argue otherwise is to either be unaware of this reality, or to be acting in bad faith.
