This song was definitely the ultimate grower for me. When it first came out I hated it so much I had already accepted I didn’t like Gaga anymore and gave up on her music. Million Reasons was actually what got me into Joanne and kept me from unstanning during that era (that and the Super Bowl)

But now I actually love the song and is one of my favorites from the album

Same here! Honestly this song is a stroke of genius and I was too stupid to see it. Like Judas, it has aged really well.

My first single drop as a Stan, I was so excited

I was 14 at the time & I remember waking up for school & sitting on the edge of my bed listening to it, and I played it non stop for the entirety of the time that I hit ready & my walk to school

Literally same :selena: I remember when it came out, i woke up, put it on and listened to it on repeat for 3 hours straight and put on my headphones during classes to listen to it again :bear:

This was a very exciting day for me, the first major release I experienced as a Little Monster, i still remember the day it came out and reading all the twitter reactions when it was played on the radio for the first time

I guess it doesn't really matter

I remember being in high school and then listening to it when I came back home. That was the first time I had awaited a Gaga single; even though I've been a fan since Alejandro  I don't realize that we are 4 years after this day

It feels more recent than “Stupid Love” :cryga:

To me, an era is always more entertaining if the previous one wasn't too successful. There's more challenge, hype etc. That was the case with the whole Joanne era. That was magical.

The best thing about being Gaga fan is you know you're in for a ride, you just don't know what turn it takes next. She likes to go where nobody expects her to go.

Like she says "if people tell me to take a right, you just know I'm going to take a sharp ****ing left" :tony:

I like this song and it has gotten better with time. I understand why it wasn't a hit though. The composition doesn't highlight her vocal skills, plus it doesn't have that pop formula for being catchy. Frantic pace of the video is on point though.

Yep. Multiple times.

This is one variation of the quote:

"Whereas in my career, I have over and over again tried to subvert the influence powerful men in my life have had on me and create something unexpected all on my own. Every time they told me to go left, I would take a sharp, sharp right."

I mean I sure knew she wanted to do the unexpected, that that she always wanted to do her own thing, but I didn't know she'd used these exact words:enigma:

The song is fine imo.

I was extremely disappointed when I heard it initially and forced myself to listen to it a million times.

Over time, I don't think it's a bad song by any means. I'd give it a C. It's not bad but it's not one of the ones I go back to very much.
