I don't care for them but I'm happy about this.

How often do we see Asian representation on American music charts? How often do they thrive? We talk about representation and diversity and inclusivity all the time but Asians are much more underrepresented in America than any other minority group. I was reading several news outlets' reporting of BTS winning VMAs and they mocked them for looking like women, called them gay, and said how they represent the decline and stooping of music. I'm not even a BTS fan but to think that people throw slurs like these around disgusts me. BTS shows other minority artists that it's possible for them to thrive, despite their ethnicity and nationality.

Hope no ones offended by this and like I said this is historic off the title alone and shows the dedication of their fanbase, but I think it has some wider implications. Especially if it tumbles because that’ll make three songs this year that had huge drops from #1 after SWU and Trollz.

And not only these two, both Heartless by The Weeknd and The Scotts by Travis Scott debuted at #1 and were out of the top 10 thr next week. 

I agree with what you said, this is happening way more often than it should. But the Hot 100 formula its messed up for other reasons as well, like the fact its virtually impossible for a song to chart without mainstream us radio support
