But I like the production and music style of the actual album. Speaking of the theme and the lyrics: I didn't expect it to be as dark and negative. Tho it makes sense when she explained it. AVeryGagaHolyDick 23,394 Posted August 4, 2020 Share Posted August 4, 2020 I didn't clearly know what I expected or wanted, but it feels like on the inside, I knew what was coming because I wasn't hyped for the album at all, listened to it (even not in full) a week late and I was disappointed. Not that the album is bad at all, but it's just not for me. I like several songs but I thought the rest was meh... There's still songs I haven't heard in full because they don't click with me at all. The only songs I love (without finding them incredible or being really wowed) are Stupid Love, Rain On Me and Replay. But I guess it's just a sound I'm not a fan of. It's still a good album I guess. I know it's cohesive with the visuals because I'm not fan of them either. It's my least favorite Gaga album cover and I don't like the photoshoot either. But I still love Gaga, and less than two years ago I looooooooved ASIB and its incredible soundtrack so I'm not mad. Gaga changes her sound everytime, so we can't be in love with every album she puts out I'm looking forward to hearing LG7 or her next movie or unknown project Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

My favourite gaga records are her more fearless ones and this one is,imo, sonically and even lyrically veeery safe. I didn’t see anyone speak their mind when Chromatica came out. I did and as a result i got dragged. So i wish those 5 people would’ve expressed their opinion back then too. You were disappointed with the album? Great, not everyone is going to like it. Does that mean all of us need to be disappointed? No, don’t try to convince us to dislike it. I thought it would be more conceptual or include more world building with the different groups and colors.
