Do you expect Ava Max to breakthrough?

I mean, since Sweet But Psycho she's had a relatively good performance of her singles (Mostly in Europe).

But with the type of music she's releasing, I don't expect her to go very far from where she is now. Knowing that music has changed so much in the last years. But I don't know, I could be wrong.

What are your thoughts on this?

yes and

Perhaps she will do quite ok in Europe throughout her career but she will never be huge in US

Did you think I'd show up in a limousine? No

No. If she couldn't do it by now, I don't think she will. She gained a little momentum after Sweet But Psycho... but faded after that. She's released like 10 singles so far, and nothing has really stuck. She's a one hit wonder, even though that one hit isn't even a hit

May be in Europe she will, but I don’t think in the US she will. I’m having my doubts if she’ll last tho. She needs to do something unique about her music because right now she doesn’t stick enough to be remembered and I see her as an artist who makes throwback songs. I’ll be rooting for her since she’s one of my new faves.

I mean, she had a worldwide hit with "the type of music she's releasing" which is basically radio-friendly pop music and yes has been doing well mostly in Europe with it. And she hasn't even released a single album... If she released like 4 albums already with the same style I'd understand questioning it but she's still at 0 albums. And who knows what she'll do after this album.

And if she just continues to deliver good pop music like she has until now and continues to be rather niche like a carly rae jepsen kind of situation I'm fine with that too cause, surprise surprise, the music matters most.

But anyone who thinks they can predict her career based off some singles.... maybe re-think. we saw how big the impact of a second album transformation can be this year, by someone who was written off by a lot to be bland and with no stage presence...

Nope, sorry. She's a mediocre Gaga tribute act, but I know that won't stop her from trying.

That glass ceiling she’s been trying to break with her music, has been broken already, some 10 years ago.

I expect she to be a new Gaga, in a good way (dont get me wrong).

But I must doubt this now.

SBS had that pop that none of her other songs have, I'd say Torn comes closest to SBS but that one didn't get nearly as much success. She's already broken through but I don't think she'll ever compete with Ariana, Gaga, Katy, etc.

Who knows tho :ohwell:

show me lets see it GIF

SBP is a number one in 22 countries and top 10 in US.
