I didn't even think they are similar, till today. :bear: And I still don't think so.

Anyways, I’d be surprised if she delivers a COADF 2.0, considering she’s never really done the same sound and concept twice aside from her first two albums. Even American Life and Madame X are just slightly similar.

I'd wager that from Hard Candy to Madame X, she started recycling sounds and themes, but if she were able to do something similar to Confessions but in a way that was not a rip off of her earlier work but quality, I'm on board.

She has an amazing discography, but for me, she stopped making quality albums after Confessions.

They’re just a bit similar: both are experimental albums with political and personal lyrics, and in both she has a lot of autotune on her voice.

Aside from that they’re different yes. American Life is folktronica, Madame X is more a mixture of multicultural genres.

Bling

Omg if she did a full on dance record again I would die. More COADF than Madame X or Rebel Heart

I may be wrong because I haven't listened to American Life recently, but I can't remember any song with political lyrics except the album title track. :messga:

Hollywood is a bit political, or at least a social critique. A few songs are mostly social critiques, and then a big chunk of the album is personal autobiographical lyrics. It’s more political in concept and visuals than in the actual lyrical content of the songs.

Ugh, Nobody Knows Me, I forgot about it:

This world is not so kind
People trap your mind
It's so hard to find
Someone to admire

I wish she would understand that you don't have to deliver amazing and difficult choreography to be a good dance music artist. I don't think it's ageist to say that her body simply isn't able to continue doing the kind of choreography she was doing 20 years ago. There's a reason you don't see many middle-aged ballerinas. Strenuous dancing can wreak havoc on your body over a long period of time. It's the same reason you don't see many middle-aged athletes. Intense physical pressure over a long period of time strains your body. She knows how to put on an amazing show, deliver stunning visuals, and create interesting and provocative music. I would prefer she focus on that.

Off-topic, but yesterday I realized Madonna didn't utter MDNA in I am Addicted; it's MDMA :fatcat:

@Sour Candy what exactly do you think is funny about this?

The context. It's totally ok if she is enthusiastic about dance, but she is not able to do even a half of the moves she did in the attached video. That's it.

Did you think I'd show up in a limousine? No

I think I agree with your point of view. She did nice choreos for Madame X show, and it was better (in my humble opinion) than jumping through the whole S&S show.
