Dr Fudge

Kesha has some seriously awesome unreleased tracks that truly could have been thrown onto another album between animal and cannibal.

Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years.

I like it, it's written very... early aged :huntyga:

What I love more though are 2 songs that deserved to be singles :vegas:

Warrior is such an obscenely watered down version of what it was supposed to be that I can't understand why the fans hype it up. Honestly it seems obvious that Kesha wasn't even proud of most of that record lol its some watered down versions of tracks that could have been better (Dirty Love, Die Young, etc) mixed in with some faceless 2012 era farts (All that Matters, Crazy Kids, Wherever You Are for example obviously was repurposed and turned into Ghost off of Prism, Luke recycled our girl K$). The fact that Machine Gun Love was denied release is a crime. Past Lives and Love Into the Light are the two shining gems on that record that deserved better imo and K$ agrees (although she does like Dirty Love a lot most likely because of Iggys feature even though he was awful on the track, it was like Kidz Bop rock lol, the solo version was slightly better though and she looked great in the video). Anyway, ive been dying to discuss this album so please engage :v:

...cuz I like it? :awkney::bear::laughga:

Liking it is one thing but like....gotta be a little more analytical than that homie. You can like it and still acknowledge what it represents in the scope of her artistic output. I wonder if you even read what i wrote lol

I did read what you wrote, and I disagree.

Literally several of the songs you referenced are some of what I consider the best songs she's ever put out. I connected with the lyrics on the album, the vibes, sonically, emotionally. It's one of my favorite albums and I love every single track on it.

Whatever that new album (High Road?) that she released, was just a bunch of noise tossed together and called "songs". If other people like and connect with it, awesome. I didn't. It didn't have one single redeeming quality for me.

For the most part didn't care for Rainbow either, aside from maybe 3-4 tracks.

Cannibal and Warrior will forever be my favorites.

I agree with Love into The Light. I love that track reminds me of Phil Collins song. :fatcat: like a modern take.

Yes machine gun deserves better too. She performed it once live noh?

Apart from Wonderland, Love Into the Light, and Past Lives Warrior as an album had no emotion though. It was Luke farting out pop records because he was forcing her to release an album that she didn't really want to make. C'Mon, Crazy Kids, and Wherever You are are probably the biggest highlights of that fact. I get that we all have our opinions but I can't wrap my head around fans actively ignoring that this album was factually her most creatively dishonest. Yet its the fan favorite. I don't get it. But to each their own I guess :yennefer:

Machine Gun Love would've been the highlight on that album imo. So good. She performed it a few times on tour outside of the US I believe. I hope one day she might just release it to streaming for the f*ck of it.

I mean, it's fairly common. A person doesn't have to know the ins and outs of what went on behind the scenes of an album in order for they themselves to connect with music. All That Matters and Only Wanna Dance With You will forever be in my top five Kesha songs of all time.

Hopefully in the future she will release more music that I connect with but if she doesn't, I'm sure her music will connect with others.

True but if perceptive enough you can feel the empty sentiment that lies beyond the surface. Which I attribute to its lack of commercial success. I think people could sniff out the lack of passion. But it is what it is. I think High Road suffered from some outside pressures, but its at least creatively hers.

Yeah for me, the most of my knowledge of commerical performance comes from what ends up being discussed here on the forum

I enjoy reading the charts thread because it kind of reminds me of tracking stocks and such, but I never really cared all the much about how well music performs. It's the least relevant thing in my eyes in regards to quality of music.

Majority of the stuff I listen to, that has moved me and touched me, have never and will never touch the charts.

I said it before and I'll say it again...

Commerical Performance does not determine a songs worth.
