Even ARTPOP barely had a third single. It was basically because fans wanted it so badly. 

I also think it's an industry thing. Very few artists have a lucrative third or fourth single during the streaming era.

We'll just never know. I really don't think she owes anybody an explanation either and I'm not sure why some fans feel entitled to one? We choose to listen to and support her, nobody is forced to do so. She released an amazing album and visuals, has hit singles from it and has released 2 music videos so far - it's really not THAT bad of a situation given everything that's going on in the world.

It probably really, really sucks to have your new album roll-out completely scuppered by a pandemic and then the relaunch of it coincide with a global civil rights movement. I imagine it's been extremely stressful for her and probably quite depressing; I'd feel pretty deflated if it was me. If I had my album release ruined twice, saw it still doing well without promo and saw the other girls performing til they're blue in the face and it not paying off, I'd probably take a step back for a while too - she's a human being at the end of the day.

I'd speculate that if they plan to continue with the era it will be attached to something major (e.g. VMAs medley, Deluxe release, new single, Chromatica EP) and that's why it's still quiet. They're also potentially aware of other releases coming up - I think everyone on here would be fuming if she decided to promote the era the week Taylor drops an album. Maybe she knew, maybe she didn't, but I think we should just trust them that they'll do what's best for Gaga as a person, as an artist and for Chromatica in the long run.
