Mister Gaga

There are some really beautiful songs here

I felt instantly touched by peace. It might be one of my favorite songs ever by Taylor. It's very honest and simple, yet deep and reliable. Congrats Taylor on making another great:applause: album

I'm a HUGE Taylor Swift fan and this album might be different from her past albums but it's just as good. I like and appreciate it :bradley:

it’s her best album by far:bradley: Red found dead in a ditch

it’s just such...a vibe

she conquered country, switched to pop and became the biggest star alive, and now she’s coming for critical acclaim with folksy alternative

we love to see it

I... like a Taylor album?

I mean I always appreciated her and liked some songs from 1989 but I never felt connected to her music, but this album damn, so mature, it's like I'm listening to a new artist, I love it! 2020 keeps on delivering.

2 things that I didn't like is the long songs and that there are 16 tracks, I'm not a fan of long songs, at some point I tend to get bored and I want to move on and I think 16 might be too much, so I think at the end I'm going to cut 3-4 songs.

Come on and wrap that blade of grass around my hairy ass

I love this album! I loved some of the songs way more the second time around and I genuinely liked them all at first listen. It’s the perfect album to relax with. I’m incredibly impressed, she’s truly one of this generation’s best songwriters. This album isn’t trend-hopping, it’s not trying to be modern, it’s not trying to fit the radio, it’s just a songwriter and her group of heartfelt, beautiful songs, nothing more, nothing less, and I truly appreciate that.

So :madge: I listened to the first 8 songs off folklore and as I listen to these 8 songs on repeat right now, I'll be writing my 'review' for each :bear:

Are you ready?:bear: My english will be shitty at times but here we go :madge:

The 1

-chill, ok melody, not something I'd listen to over and over again BUT this song reminds me of someone I dated a three years ago :bradley: It was an off and on dating thing because I really loved him but I don't think he mirrored my feelings yet still we had such great times/memories. We were even on a trip to Paris together and we were relatively younger and wanted different things and so we stopped seeing each other when I found someone else but I still think about him today and this song just makes me think of him :madge: So in short, ok song, great, relatable lyrics :vegas:

CARDIGAN

This is giving me Lana Del Ray vibes but Taylor had always been open about her adoration towards her so it's not a surprise. Again, great lyricism  Catchy, melancholy chorus which I love   I expected a more boppy song as a lead single though, but this will do :madge:

the 'i knew you' part slays I like it so much :nooo: Great lyrics :vegas:

THE LAST GREAT AMERICAN DYNASTY

Sounds like a song I'd like to wake up to :awkney: But this is really not doing anything to me like WHO TF IS REBECCA and why am I listening to a song about ha :madge: Simple, bland background instrumental and cute, slightly catchy tune, lyrics I can't relate to Taylor what is this :sis: A FILLER, THAT'S WHAT THIS IS.

EXILE

Now this is the very first song I've listened to off folklore and I absolutely adored it instantly :bradley: This song is PERFECT in each and every way and The Last Time is found dead floating somewhere in the RED sea (see what I did there) :vegas:  Great tune, great lyrics  This song is a BLESSING

LOVE FOOLISH

I just finished listening it to and I absolutely adore this album! It’s moody yet chill, but I also feel...nostalgic? I dunno, reminds me of those autumn afternoons walking through campus and stepping on the crunchy leaves lol. I can’t wait to play this during my 2 hour drive back home. Similar to what I do with Lana’s NFR and Arctic Monkeys’ TBHC!

I love how cohesive the album is. My holy trinity: exile, my tears ricochet, and mirrorball :legend: just back-to-back bops!

Other songs I really enjoyed were august, invisible strings, and peace. I really like this type of music so I really don’t have any complaints. I am honestly surprised since I am quite picky with Taylor’s work.

I love the album so much that I got merch! I really struggled with choosing which vinyl edition I wanted, but I ended up getting the “running like water” edition. I also got the “hide-and-seek” cd and the cardigan...because it’s cute and cozy :fatcat: I can’t wait to hang these up, I love the visuals. I...just can’t stop praising this album and Taylor :bradley:

MY TEARS RICOCHET

This intro :firega:  I feel like floating :firega: Wait this is a mood :koons: A dark, dark, emotional mood :fatcat:

'You wore the same jewels that I gave you as you bury me'  OH MY GOD THE LYRICS :nooo:

Great song, amazing lyrics, but not something I'd listen to on repeat :neyde:
