Prince Harry& Prince William respond to claims of mishandled funds

An anti-monarchy group has filed a complaint against William and Kate’s Royal Foundation for the financial support it gave to Meghan and Harry’s former charity.

By May 2019, Meghan and Harry had moved into their new home, and they announced they would be splitting up the Royal Foundation, the charity that Harry founded with Prince William in 2009.

According to the Telegraph, the foundation might face an investigation over the way it helped Meghan and Harry start their own organizations. In a letter to the U.K. Charity Commission, the anti-monarchy group Republic alleges that the money the Royal Foundation gave Meghan and Harry’s new charities in the wake of their split from Kensington was a clear conflict of interest. The commission, which recently chastised Prince Andrew’s foundation for financial impropriety, told the newspaper that it is currently “assessing information in the complaint to determine whether it was appropriate to investigate,” adding that they have not yet found any evidence of wrongdoing.

When Meghan and Harry left the foundation, Kate and William became the sole principals, and Meghan and Harry started the Sussex Royal Foundation, which has since shut down. They are currently planning their own foundation, Archewell, but in the period after their charity split and before their royal exit, Harry announced Travalyst, a registered non-profit promoting sustainable travel that has now become its own independent entity. It has an office in London, and as of March employed two of Harry and Meghan’s former palace employees.

When the Royal Foundation released its annual report for 2019 in December, it disclosed two payments totaling £245,000 (or about $312,000): £145,000 to Sussex Royal and £100,000 to Travalyst . In their letter to the commission, Republic claims that the transfer was a breach of the charities’ duties to act independently. “In both instances it appears the only rationale for the decision was the personal relationship between two patrons, the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of Cambridge,” the letter read.

In response, the Royal Foundation defended the appropriateness of the donations to the Telegraph. Representatives for Harry hit back more strongly against the claims. “This is his life’s focus, and his devotion to charity is at the very core of the principles he lives by, and is obvious through the impact and success of his many charitable projects throughout the UK and beyond,” his spokesperson told the newspaper. “To this point, it is deeply offensive to today see false claims made about the Duke of Sussex and his charitable work. It is both defamatory and insulting to all the outstanding organizations and people he has partnered with.”

It's all slowly coming out about Harry and Meghan now. Bunch of underhanded schemes for days. Rumours are that they'd discussed plans to leave the family before they even got married, which means they wed on the taxpayers money, knowing what they were about to do. They wanted the big wedding first. Still no plans to pay us back for it. I find it funny that they said they wanted to be free of the royals, that they were being too restricted, that they don't agree with the traditionalist royal ways. So, give up your titles, then? Thought not. Hollywood is going to regret giving them freebies like mansions to squat in when they realise they're not doing anything to pay their way. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if their doomed Archewell charity was a way of siphoning off money because neither of them have any employment offers right now and can't live off daddy's allowance forever. I really feel for their poor son, snatched away from his family, all he has in America are his parents. He'll likely rarely, if ever, see his extended family again and Meghan will never let him see her family either. When he grows up to find out how he came to live in LA, he may be quite resentful.

I still wonder to this day exactly how Harry got himself into this mess. He met this girl, got engaged, married, became a father and was convinced to leave his family to live halfway across the world in the space of just over 3 years. Boy was clearly never taught how to spot a gold-digger. Meghan realised he was easy prey and POUNCED. She was pursuing C-list British celebrities for over a year before she met Harry. As I once saw in a great quote: "She went fishing for a minnow and ended up netting a whale."

It's exactly what they are planning to do. A lot of rumors say that they are inspired by Clintons with charities (thats how they make their money they dont care about people) but also doing speeches and being paid for it which Meghan plans on doing very soon, not a rumor this time.

Prince Harry is no victim. He wanted out of the family so he picked her to escape all of it and he got what he wanted, yet he looks angry and out of it most of the time and completely lost. This is a man who's never had a job and always had money from his daddy until his mid 30s. It's funny when he said he wants to be financially independent but still keeps that daddy money and the royal titles and still demands stuff from the royal family. He was always trouble maker but family let him for everything since he lost mother and anyway he wasn't the one who is going to be king in the future. He is still this spolied kid. He had all the possibilities in life that almost no one has.
In the end he decided to left his family because he thought that they took away his freedom or sth like this. He was talking about being independent but still living on his family money because he used to a lavish life and is not goint to give it up.

I'm always wary of these types who make a living out of philanthropy. Apparently, you can make money from setting up charities these days, a "charity entrepreneur" as they say. I think that's H&M's goal, at least for the forseeable. There's been so many shady goings on with charities in recent years and the money not going to the right people so a charity formed by 2 unemployed people who are trying to be financially independent is a huge red flag. I wonder if that's the reason why Archewell got denied its status rather than its mission being vague (which was true but it was a more diplomatic reason). There's already plenty of children's charities around, why couldn't they just donate to them? Oh, yes, because they want the glory of having their own charity named after their son (who, incidentally, whose privacy they want to maintain, oops).

Some say he wanted a way out the family, I still think she was the manipulator who put it all into his head. She's been the ambitious one right from the start, she was the one wanting them to get political and do speeches when they were royals. Harry was happy just cruising by with his structured life set out for him until she came along. That's why so few royals abdicate. They know life on the outside is going to be tough and they'll have to trade in everything they know for something very different. It's better for them to just stick to what they know. Without his family to protect him, it's becoming increasingly clear that Harry's really not that bright, it was just very well hidden until now. Diana apparently as good as said so years ago. She said she wasn't worried about William because he was sensible but that she did worry about Harry because he's very impressionable and can easily be led astray. That's why I think there was more to this than what he wanted. Somehow, I doubt if he'd left royalty for a British girl, he would living in LA right now. Moving there is all Meghan's doing, we know that place is not Harry's style. Vegas, for a holiday, obviously, but not LA. As for what Meghan's end goal is? Some say she plans to run for president. Chances of that working out for her are slim, though. Most Americans consider her to be a joke.

I feel like you’ve read too many gossip magazines, you’re saying Harry has got himself into a mess from listening to what the media says and how they portray Meghan. For all you know he’s happy and enjoying his life? All I know is from a person who doesn’t really care about the royal family (I’m British) I’ve seen how the media has portrayed Meghan and it’s not nice.

The gossip magazines are telling the truth, though. I'm British too. The media are reporting back the truth about her. The royals said they couldn't defend her from the truth. You could write a book about this woman and her shadiness and in fact, there already are books being written about her. Unfortunately, the public were brainwashed by the media from the beginning to believe that this woman was going to be a breath of fresh air and all the press supported her, so it made any dissenters look crazy. Now she's losing fans as more comes out. People are waking up at all different stages. Let's be brutally honest here, if she were white, she'd have nowhere near the amount of people willing to defend her still. She's played the race card every time something bad came up about her, which makes me so mad. Claiming that your race is the only reason why anyone would dislike you is the height of narcissism. Besides, most of us read her as white. Many of us weren't even aware she was biracial until we were told. I saw a photo of her once where her ankles were startlingly white, whiter than mine. She even put down "caucasion" on forms back in the day in the hope of getting more lucrative acting roles. That's just one of the many shady things about her that not only prove she's not as proud of her heritage as she claims but that she's also a very accomplished liar.

You’re very hateful and need to get a life. How can you be proud of your race if you lie about it to get acting roles? Hardly authentic. We've seen much darker people get great acting roles, don't act as if her looks are a problem. She was a terrible actress, that's how she couldn't get good roles. She's not the most obviously bi-racial looking person ever, especially the fact that her skin is extremely pale and she straightened her hair. Comparing her to Diana is precisely what she wants you to do - she wants to be compared to genuinely good people so they'll think she is in turn, good. Meghan is nowhere near Diana's level. Meghan is all about fame and clout. There are no bogus sources. What have the press said about her that's untrue? The biggest lie she ever told was when she did a speech in Fiji about how she paid her way through college with scholarships and financial aid when we knew well before then that her dad paid for it all. If she'll lie about something as big as that, what else has she lied about? There's clips of her from years ago in London getting interviewed, saying she's looking for a British man, there's tweets of her flirting with British C-listers from way back, trying to hook a rich guy. That's probably the most damning evidence of all.
