RahrahWitch 6,985
I feel like everyone's just becoming desensitized to the pandemic. These kinds of people need a wake up call to remember the others who are dying because of their selfish behavior.

Rio 5,088
I went out last night, and my town had some great measures in place for social distancing. Obviously in a city as big as London, it was never going to go down well. I wish London thought it through a lot more

We didn't end our lockdown early and we pretty much flattened our curve. Meanwhile, the USA... 👀 Our government have done great in looking after working citizens too - meanwhile, USA's unemployment rate is catastrophic. It's filthy red-neck supporters who have taken such a disregard for the pandemic, licked windows, coughed on people in grocery stores when told to wear a mask... I'm yet to see a video like that surface from here 👍🏼👍🏼 British people just love a pint but majority of us have respected lockdown, for three whole months Please. Don't compare my country to the USA. It's an insult and over the past 4 years especially, I've grown to really appreciate my country, especially when I witness what's going on across the pond. 🇬🇧

Maleficent 6
I think y’all forget one crucial thing about the history of pandemics: most pandemics in history didn’t end bc the virus died out or bc a cure was found, a pandemic is “over” when the general population collectively decides its over. And herd immunity kicks in. That’s how the 1918 pandemic ended...

Yeah it’s turning into a pretty close race at this point I went to see a friend yesterday, 5 of us, first time we’ve seen each other since March. We sat outside in the garden, keeping distance (it was like a f**ked up prayer circle) wearing three layers of clothes and holding umbrellas. British summer, ffs. On the way there I drove past 3 pubs, all with long queues to get in. At 1 in the afternoon. I’m yet to go back to work because our management isn’t convinced yet that our patrons will stick to the social distancing guidelines (I work in a library), but apparently the government thinks a bunch of people with alcohol inside them will... Our government made so many mistakes from the start, it’s ridiculous. We locked down a week too late, then when we did lockdown it wasn’t hard enough, and now we’re easing restrictions too soon. Shambles. Total shambles.
Chromatography 10,186
imagine if we had to deal with an actual incredibly deadly pandemic, or deadly crisis in general, we would be screwed. and rightfully so. we’ll be selfish until the day we go extinct. xoxo Craig 55,649
Well I mean, it was always lunacy to open up pubs and stuff like that when several areas in England have an r rate above 1 England is handling this REALLY bad, I feel so sorry for those acting responsibile but this is BJs failure. If it gets out of hand again, I hope you'll go into lockdown again... and if the r rate gets too high, I do hope Nicola closes the border here in Scotland. We're doing so well, and while we are working towards eradication, that doesn't seem the plan in England. End Racism Now
