I real tragedy. An artist releases something truly groundbreaking and experimental and is met with no acknowledgment at all. At least she knew not many would like it considering how experimental and before its time it was, i believe she said in an interview "I hope a handful of people like this album, maybe a couple handfuls"

The problem isn't AT ALL that is experimental (see the two albums I posted). :selena: From the quality of Madonna's vocals to the songs and compositions themselves, the album has others flaws. To say that people don't enjoy it solely because 'is experimental' is deflection.

Idk what the first album you posted is but NFR by Lana is not experimental at all. Its good but at the base it sounds just like her 5 other albums. Whats the reason you don't like Madame X?

NFR has Venice Bitch which is experimental. The other songs not so much but Madame X isn't full-on experimental start to finish either.

My issue with Madame X is first of all the vocals and the way they are edited. Madonna can sing but she sounds almost unlistenable here.. then the songs aren't all that catchy and don't make me want to listen to them. I just can't listen to this album in full.

Obscure Vocals as an artistic style = Experimental

The Songs aren’t catchy because they aren’t meant to be. Each song has an obscure structure and don’t follow typical song formats. Which is an experimental writing style.
