btw how come Gaga is always so frontloaded in brazil? Breaking first day records left and right but now ROM is only #35 and SC #93. How do you stay stable there or is it pretty much impossible for english artists? :enigma:

They can easily shoot a video for Gaga in LA, BP in Korea and just merge it together

What would make it big is two massive promo spots and another attempt at a streaming hit. I think VMAS with Grande, Fortnite with BP, and finally a 911 steaming/tik tok push is more than fine for the era. The babylon and FW MVs will do absolutely nothing, unless she's plugging Apple which is good.

the weeknd or even dua haven't done massive promo. Gaga is only doing what any other artist is doing. They're just sitting it out and letting radio and playlists do their thing. And she's keeping up in her own way. She's performing fine for being 13 years in and not 'cool' to gen Z.

Yeah, I understand that we're doing fine and that she still has some promo spots prepared.

But my point is that under normal circumstances, had they followed the original plan for the era (if they could), we would have had a mega-smash hit era, and one of her best ones.

And now, we're getting an ok era with avarage results and experience, but nothing as breathtaking and astonishing as we would have without Covid and BLM.

That's fine, but it hurts knowing what bad luck have we had on Gaga's return to her dance-pop roots (and maybe the last dance-pop era/album from her).

I should have said, dance-pop and synth-pop..

To be fair we really don't know how she'd perform without Covid or BLM movement right now

Yes she may have had more promo but on the flip side she'd also have more competition too

Gaga had started the era already before everything went down so it was hard for her to push it back too much but releases from Pop artists that hadn't started eras yet is down considerably. Not a lot of big names in pop are releasing much

I think it's naive to assume Gaga would perform better commercially under normal circumstances with more promo but also more competition to deal with.

Monsters keep talking about how this ruined promo but I think we need to take into account the offsetting factors
