I just wanna discuss what she could’ve done better and if there are people who think the same. I love Gaga but i don’t have to like everything she does I never said you had to like everything she does. What im saying is you don't know what she let Bloodpop do and what were her ideas (or even other producers). So when you make comments like the ones in this thread, they arent opinions. Instead, its a lot of speculation based on an already negative mindset. You cant take it seriously? Because of the equivalent of gossip. Babylon. Roland 261
I was surprised when I read that Bloodpop just turned up and played her Stupid Love and that was the start of the album. But at the same time she was open about sending it off to Max Martin and obviously there is an attempt at being open about the creative process with everyone involved. This is the second Behind the Scenes article there has been. I think this is the most producers she has worked with ever? I feel she is more confident now to give up control a little and learn. I think she gained a lot of confidence working on A Star Is Born... writing and producing. Nothing to prove this time. She is still obviously 100% involved... just involved with more producers. She obviously had no problem singing PARTYNAUSEOUS and Brooklyn Nights at the ArtRAVE. Also in an interview in 2017 Gaga teased she was planning on singing new music at the JWT too. She also teased releasing Paradise as she said she needed a bit more time to perfect it and six years later... let’s face it. Gaga teases lots of music that never comes. Performing is different from releasing though. No money and writing credits have to be cleared for her own unreleased songs to be performed typically. Essentially in terms of releasing things went into a legal limbo. She never explicitly said she was doing new music for JWT - and the things teased most likely related to The Cure sessions and the songs from those sessions ended getting moved to ASiB anyway. Paradise was revealed, but not really promised to be coming in the immediate future since it was linked to a future Tony collab album which we know work didn’t really start on. Chromatica sessions have more work ready to be done and released and will give a refresh to an era that had some snags due to the world situation. With its success it’s likely interscope wants to continue the era when things are a bit calmer.

I agree. I still remember during the Monster Ball she had a tour bus with a recording studio in it to record and produce the BTW album. She was always so hands on when it comes to her art and particularly picky to those who puts their hands in it. I'm glad she matured and she's more open to try new things. @topic I still believe her demos are always better than the finalized versions.
julz 6,949
The fact that they dont want it to sound like any EDM tunes these days, that they are after classic house/dance... I like that. For me, they are trying to make it timeless, and i think they have achieved that. I also like that they seem excited to work with and very respectful with LG. I am excited for more TV interviews soon.
Miel 15,009
I feel like a lot of the sound of this album was formed by her having a much more hands-off approach. Hm. 3 points in and ready for more

freebit 6,240
This post is formatted so weird. lol @ that part about Sophie recording Gaga's car. As much as I don't care for Sophie's music, I actually want to hear it. Hope they got Boyznoize stuff held back too. Give us the Ep!
Doot 2
I swear she at one point expressed dissatisfaction with ARTPOP due to her usual creation process being vastly different in the sense that many of the songs were preetablished tracks that were simply handed to her. Hmm.

That fell through because legal issues and huge shake up in her team that caused ARTPOP to wind down prematurely. Even then she still went and did the G.U.Y. Film out of her own pocket so the era didn’t just end short. More work with Tony she always said she wanted to do. There was no promise or even mention of Joanne 2.0 and then the dive bar tour extra dates were never intended to be shows of Gagas, bud light just extended the concept past her - yes there was one cancelled date but that was because it conflicted with the plans for the world tour. She was only saying that around 2014 to 2016. It's been 4 to 5 years since then. That's a long time for not doing what she said. I'm not blaming her. She can do whatever she feels like artistically at the time and I will still be happy to support her. But I wouldn't take any word so seriously anymore, only if she announces it officially. I still want the Cole Porter covers with Tony though. And if she's up for it, maybe an original Jazz album.

Fair enough, I feel like out of everything though. What Bloodpop is saying has more weight to it potentially happening. The fact that it seems like the plan is to have multiple new songs and mixes to put out tells me it was a big intention for how this album cycle is planned. If it was just 1 song and they were like “it may come out” it would be different. But if even Bloodpop is saying that multiple songs are coming out with no “maybe” attached - including the Haus Labs version of Babylon as he has now reiterated 3 times - then I gotta say, I think this holds more water this time than any previous plan. Yeah plans can change, but I feel like Bloodpop wouldn’t have discussed things so openly about Sophie and Babylon multiple times if it wasn’t extremely likely these plans will come to fruition. I can also see it happening this time purely because the era has been stalled by 2 issues by this point and releasing something new might refresh the album if they ever do continue the promo again.
