It allows them space to cool down. Love this because I have always felt this way! I've never been in a relationship (don't judge ) but I always felt like if I did I would want my own space still. I just don't get the idea of being in the same space as someone the entire time but I spend a lot of time alone anyway. I think I wouldn't want to lose my 'me-time' when in a relationship because I value it so much. I could definitely see myself living like Dan and Phil.
