the idea that demi is a great vocalist is a myth. this is facts. her tone is unpleasant, and she is more often than not off key, and struggles to reach the notes she tries to tackle. to me, she might be one of the worst singer out there. Be able to belt out some high, powerful notes, does not make you a good vocalist. Her last grammy performance is painful to HEAR. Periodt.

This is facts

It would flop harder than Daisies, no joke.

Demi is not really that likable. I don't know what it is but she doesn't have the effortless thing that people love from Ariana.

Scooter Braun, mayhaps? Lol

Demi is not without talent, but she's very unappealing to me as a person and vocalist.

I also don't find Ari very interesting, but the duet works with her because her light and airy tone contracts extremely well with Gaga. Having two full-throated altos would just be too much.

I like Demi. But I don't think it would be as good as this duet.

Also everyone hear claiming Demi screams all the time hasn't heard the album filler Enigma yet.

I don't dislike Demi, but that would be a disaster. You don't put 2 belty, "shouty" voices together cause then you'd get a  Fall In Line mess. There's a reason why Ari's softer, breathier vocals blend so well with Gaga's.

in my opinion Demi's vocal tone is not pleasant. I think Ari provides the best balance to Gaga's own powerful tone. They complement each other vocally where as if Demi was involved I am certain it would sound too overwhelming because Gaga's vocals are pretty grande in this song as well.

Fine Enigma is wonderful and Gaga absolutely doesn't not yell at all what's so ever on the track. It's like my favorite song on the entire album. Much better than Alice. IMNHO.

I sortaaa agree. I disagree that she's one of the worst singers out there.

She still can sing. My issue with Demi's singing is that this bitch SHOUTS instead of doing belts. Like going to the Grammy performance earlier this year, I HATE how she sings the chorus.

But to say she's a bad singer is disingenuous. She still can sing and has potential to be a great vocalist but it seems her technique is bad or something. I'm not a vocal coach so idk. Judging based on personal tastes.

Earlier in her career (I'm assuming before the bulimia/purging started to destroy her voice), her "belts"/"shouts" were a lot more pleasant. For the Love of a Daughter is a good example of that or Lightweight (hear how she sings "you're in control of my heart"). Her voice was a lot nicer to hear when she belts. But what I'm assuming is she's using the same technique even though her vocal cords got much worse after years of abuse (actually I think she herself admitted that bulimia ruined her voice).
