The new version’s production makes it so much more full. The old version was always a bit hollow to me. The only thing I prefer on that version was the “I want to be free forever baby” bridge.

The lose one sounded like it needed a tweak for sure, but it sounded way more retro/cinematic than this one. I feel like this one is too polished and sharp and that is basically constructed to be safe and played on the radio (though I think it had a better chance of that on 2012-2014). I can’t really explain what it is, but the other one sounds bolder for me. Maybe it is that it was my first time listening to the lyrics, idk lol.

She should’ve kept the electric devotion lyric but other than that Free Streaming is a bop.

The worst part of the new version is definitely the first dance break. It’s just underwhelming. I’d have taken much more liking to the new production initially if that break was better.

Its grown a lot on me now, but it gives me tropical pop war flashbacks. 

The second break is saved by the powerful chorus over it

Maybe the more accessible sound of Free Woman is what makes it a good choice as a single  Dance music hasn't been a thing for at least 5 years, and the clean/summery vibe it has makes it a better introduction into the genre over the more agressive sounds of songs like 911 or Alice. It just has a happy feeling to it.

Same. I like the new one more

However it has more vocal effects than I would personally like and  pre-chorus could've been slightly faster but the song is really good and the last hook is so energetic and fun
