Listen. Overall, I agree with you; however, have some sympathy...

She just lost her sister. Her emotions are at an all time high.

Of course the vast, vast majority of those protesting are peaceful. I would like to think that whoever shot her was not a part of the peaceful protests, but let's have some sympathy in this moment for her.

but the problem is that she KNOWS she's going to have a platform, she is hurting the cause. It's not that I'm lacking empathy but right now fascists are using anything they can against us.  This video itself could single handedly put the entire state into martial law, effectively disbanding protesters.

My issue here is that once again, someone is being egocentric. Hundreds of thousands of black people have been killed by the hands of cops.  What youre seeing right now is the reaction of mothers, sisters, fathers, brothers, of the black community every time someone from their community gets killed by a police officer.  We wouldn't be here if police officers were held accountable but here we are. It is not her place to put us all in a box just because we're asking to be treated like human beings.

This is not the time to be like, "BUT NOT ALL...." Her sister was not a part of the oppressive and racist police force or this almost-authoritarian government. She was a victim.

i have sympathy but being 100% im sighing because i know this will be used by racist forces to heighten racial tension and anger in this country and throw off a movement that is demanding justice.

Why do they think it was a protestor that shot her?

Are you kidding? Try putting yourself in her shoes. Try imagine just for 3 seconds the pain of losing someone who you spent everyday with for years, going to school together etc etc. Just THINK of the pain she is suffering.

She is angry and distraught that someone who is on the same side as her sister shot her dead. She is angry for the protester for bringing guns and shooting them in the crowd. She has EVERY right to feel like that. Its not egocentric. Its called grief and dealing with emotions

any white supremacist or vile human being can pose as a protester and raise havoc to make protesters look bad. Think about it.

are you being serious right now?!

i absolutely am. i have sympathy for her loss. but human beings are multi demensional and i can also see that this is what black people and POC in this country face every day. Do you know how many Black people were killed alone this week by cops violence....4, and they have family's too that is what this movement is about. and now thousands of peaceful protesters and people seeking racial justice in this country are going to get labeled as evil animals because right wing outlets will cling to this womens story of pain. her loss is not lesser...but i'm mad it is going to be manipulated to forward racist forces agenda

At this point, if anything comes out of the protest, it is just sastisfaction for one side. Racism won’t end by what has been going on, it’s worsened.

okay but you are not understanding me. I never said that she could not feel her emotions. She can, but we are so quick to post our emotions on social media without giving it a second thought.  MY worry here is that she is boxing the entire movement together, jus like what they do on the news.  Guns do not have a place in these protests, I am with you on that BUT this is an isolated incident that she is grouping the ENTIRE movement by saying 'ALL YOU IGNORANTS' and that is something I just cannot stand by.

no, it's just gotten a spotlight on it. having trump as president made people with radical beliefs and racial hate feel safer to be public in this country with their hatred. it's always been there, but we don't have to accept it

Are we surprised from a nation that lives like the Wild West? It's not a surprise anymore. This is a broken country crumbling at it's core.

I didn't understand everything she said but I can feel the pain in her voice.

This is horrible.

Violence is not the answer to violence. It just make it worst.

I'm not saying this as a fact cause I wasn't there to see what happened but there's a lot of people (mostly white supremacists) that aren't protestors and are only there to destroy everything and/or kill/injure black people. Maybe her sister got shot by one of these awful person... I saw white supremacists with guns, knifes, swords etc ready to kill everyone...

You called her egocentric for grieving over her sister.

Guns do not have a place in America, period. But unfortunately, you guys have the right to bear arms. I think her plea was for the protestors to think about what they are doing, like why a gun? I don't think she feels that ALL the protesters are at fault. But to the minority that bring guns or want to bring guns - think.

She was obviously talking about the minority when she said "all of you ignorants". Not the ENTIRE movement
