Personally I want lyrics to read like a sentence.” “lyrical fire” Is 150% subjective and can mean whatever you want it to. Oh come on now sis. Don’t backpedal. There’s a huge difference in saying Gaga lost her lyrical fire and saying you want lyrics to flow like a sentence. Change your header, then. “Gaga’s lyrics don’t flow like a sentence anymore and I don’t like it” And Paula Abdul ain’t got [BLEEP] on me!

I mean music is meant to be up to the imagination of the listener, but that’s random. You’re still wrong about her losing her lyrical fire though. There’s plenty of great examples on Chromatica, not to mention ASIB that counteract that claim. I’m not saying her old writing was bad either. But Chromatica has some of her best poetry. Rethink this opinion. I don’t think my post is a bad as a lot of people are making it out to be. I just hold the opinion that Gaga isn’t as feisty/badass in her songwriting as she was in Joanne and BTW. That’s how I define “fire”. Besides that, I think the lyrics should read and flow better (which I noted was personal preference) Let’s have some fun this beat is Sapokanikan

When I read a header on GGD with “Gaga has lost her lyrical fire” and the commentary is about an album which I and a lot of other people are loving for having some of her best lyrics, it isn’t telling me that you’re talking about “badass and fiesty” and your OP didn’t say that either. Defend your opinion, don’t backpedal. And Paula Abdul ain’t got [BLEEP] on me!

Read my original post My final opinion is this: songs from chromatica come from a different headspace that does not include the fiery passion from her previous work. However, when you look at chromatica as a whole, some of the fire is evident - not in the lyrics, but in the intentions of the songs. so yes, my thread title holds true. if you read through my original post without letting your emotions overcome you this is clearly detailed (in the edit that I posted after few pages especially). I read it and reread it. And you’re still wrong and you keep backpeddling and counteracting yourself. Enjoy the rest of the conversation with your own self, you seem to like the back and forth. PeachJug 3,075
firstly: Please don't take it too hard that a lot of us disagree with your opinion, I know it can be a lot for the entire standom to come for you on a thread like this lol.. I hope you still feel comfortable sharing your opinions in the future and now im gonna try to sway you... I think Chromatica has a TON of genius lyrics, which, in my mind, are fire. Below are some of my favorites. Sure, not every song is meant to be lyric-heavy, but the album definitely didn't hold back. Gagz still has it: Alice Could you pull me out of this alive? Where's my body? I'm stuck in my mind -- Sick and tired of waking up Screaming at the top of my lungs Think I might've just left myself behind Maestro, play me your symphony I will listen to anything Take me on a trip, DJ, free my mind from Genius, "In this verse Gaga is tackling the perennial ‘Mind-Body problem’" Spoiler "What may emerge as the most important insight of the twenty-first century is that man was not designed to live at the speed of light. Without the countervailing balance of natural and physical laws, the new related media will make man implode upon himself. As he sits in the informational control room, whether at home or at work, receiving data at enormous speeds – imagistic, sound, or tactile – from all areas of the world, the results could be dangerously inflating and schizophrenic. His body will remain in one place but his mind will float out into the electronic void, being everywhere at once in the data bank." 911 "Turnin' up emotional faders Keep repeating self-hating phrases I have heard enough of these voices Almost like I have no choice This is biological stasis My mood's shifting to manic places Wish I laughed and kept the good friendships Watch life, here I go again" Spoiler Antipsychotic medications affects the brain’s circuits that control mood, thinking, and perception. They work by helping avoid impulsive decisions and spiraling thought patterns associated with mania. Enigma "Open-minded, I'm so blinded Mystery man, woman phantom Violet light smears the atmosphere I'm so scared, but I'm standing here -- Can't stop staring, I'm so naked Wrapped in shadows, my heart races Dragon's eyes watch, goddess breathing Give me something to believe in" Replay "Every single day, yeah, I dig a grave Then I sit inside it, wondering if I'll behave It’s a game I play, and I hate to say You're the worst thing and the best thing that's happened to me" Sine From Above (I mean come on, the whole thing is a beautiful story <3) When I was young, I prayed for lightning My mother said it would come and find me I found myself without a prayer I lost my love and no one cared When I was young, I prayed for lightning [Pre-Chorus: Lady Gaga] Yeah, I looked with my face up to the sky But I saw nothing there, no, no, nothing there Yeah, I stared while my eyes filled up with tears But there was nothing there, no, no, nothing [Chorus: Lady Gaga] I heard one sine from above (Oh) I heard one sine from above (Oh) Then the signal split in two The sound created stars like me and you Before there was love, there was silence Babylon "We only have the weekend You can serve it to me, ancient-city style We can party like it's B.C.
