You quoted me first. I'm not debating and I'm not coming from a "school of thought." You sound very privileged. She said enough. Why is it important for celebs to say something, even if it's just BLM? To put it nicely they all have fans who have Karens and Chads for parents. Those are the type of people who protested during quarantine, helped fuel the systemic racism in the country even if they aren't racist. Gaga probably gained those fans during the ASIB era. Them seeing Gaga post this may have no effect whatsoever on their mentality but it could change their children's opinions who listen not only to Gaga but other celebrities who may or may not speak up about the issue. We live in an age where most celebrities have more influence on young people than their parents do. They need to use that platform and speak up.

Wow, that is insane to me living in AUS. Everyone needs to have their say. 
 

why do you think you wouldn’t benefit for mandatory voting? I think it makes people do their research and vote accordingly. Australia and our sis NZ have quite good leadership currently. (Look at our COVID cases)

She made it into a Trump thing when this is a issue thats been going on forever. Its important to mention Trump and criticize him, but this did not happen because Trump is president. Its been doing on for generations even during Obama who had no solutions and sometimes made things worse.

I quoted you because I wanted to politely challenge your perspective, not to instigate drama. 
 

You’re right that I am privileged. I have a college education. There is nothing wrong inherently with having privilege, but it’s how you use that privilege to guide/help others without looking down on them. I was not attacking you, so forgive me for implying anything of the sort. I live in the real world, and that’s exactly why I believe the police state needs to be abolished. The real world is broken.
