One thing about Taylor was that she was always "just successful" and that is all. Kind of like Mariah Carey. But now she stands for something. And if she keeps pushing that narrative, it will do wonders for her legacy.

Yes, she was successful, but as #1 female artist, it was 5 minutes. Nowadays it's just that. The rotation is crazy nowadays, and its consequences can be seen the careers of such artists as Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Beyonce. Gaga seems to know how to endure it staying more or less relevant all the time. She had her ups and downs, but since she recovered after ARTPOP, she keeps being more and more successful. Her tendency is rising, not falling.
