And while using the VPN with US as location you have to create a new Spotify account using the new email adress and so the new account will be set to US. It will count for the country you've registered your account in. https://www.spotify.com/account/overview/ But you can connect via VPN, create new Spotify account, then it will be assigned like you've been in the US. If you want your streams to count on a WW scale, just don't use VPN. Otherwise every single listen of yours will be deleted from the platform.
