At this point it's like she's making fun of us. We want music and promo for an album that is coming in 13 days and she gives us thongs and palettes by a project she knows half her fanbase despise. Also for the people saying promo is coming next week which is not even guaranteed what is even type of promo that creates hype in 1 week hype for fans maybe but the GP won't get excited in 1 week by 1 single release so she might be up for a huge underperformance. I love Gaga so much but it's like she's losing touch to her music and fans more and more each new era

Look. I think it's understandable to say that you want a little more promo. Compared to other album cycles, yes, Chromatica, as of right now, doesn't have that  much promo. That being said, this isn't like other album cycles. We are in unprecendented times right now. Her schedule and everything she worked for was thrown to the wayside because of COVID-19.

She needed to restructure her whole promo line-up. Blade said that Chromatica was going to have promo only second to BTW. That's a huge deal. That doesn't sound like someone who "doesn't care about this era," or someone who just "wants this era to be over and done with."

And to be honest, that's the thing that annoys me the most about these kinds of comments. You, personally, may not feel excited about Chromatica, but let's not put words into Gaga's mouth. She fights hard for her art and she works tirelessly, day and night, to produce art that she believes in. To simply say that she just "doesn't care" is, frankly, insulting and disrespectful to her.

Now, if you are personally disinterested with this era, to that I say, wait until next week. Blade said that all of the promo, except for the live performances, is still being kept. That's a huge deal, again, considering he said that Chromatica was going to have promo only second to BTW. You guys will be hyped up for this album. Remember when she posted the "You're my favorite" thing like two weeks ago? There were dozens of pages filled with excitement and anticipation for that one little thing alone. I'm hyped, you're hyped, we're all hyped. There's no reason to be melodramatic about it.

 

This is probably why she's so silent, tbh. It obviously takes a while to create a promo plan in a normal situation. Taking away like half of the possibilities due to COVID only made things harder, and we all know Gaga wouldn't want to put something out that is half-assed. I don't think the album really had a ton of pre-release promo pre-postponment. The announcement was only three weeks before the release and we really didn't have much promo then. I think there's probably some exciting stuff planned for release week and post-release.

Yeah. I'm just saying that generally speaking, it seems like a good reason to delay the album. Whether people want to accept that or not is on them. But besides, we're close to the album release anyway. I think it's time to stop the "should she have delayed/not delayed the album?" talk.

Do you have any tea as to what the promo will be?

Cause Blade said that it's going to have quite a bit of promo. He also said that all of the promo that wasn't live performances is still staying.

To me it just seems like Gaga is on social media less than she has been during past eras. Social media can be toxic, and she rarely goes on Twitter or Instagram to just talk. Sure, she hasn’t tweeted about how she’s counting down the days until we all get to hear the album, but she’s been promoting it no different on social media than most artists promote their albums typically, and when she speaks about the album in interviews she sounds very connected to it and excited. I don’t think we should already be disregarding what this era could be just yet, I am positive there will be more to this era after COVID-19 and quarantine, but for now she’s in the same boat as every other artist and that doesn’t mean this album or era is effectively ruined, she can tour later, she can do interviews and talk show appearances later, she can play at music festivals later and film music videos later, but for now, we have new music coming and I’m beyond excited for that! I think it’s easier to be hyped when you just focus on the music and not all the extra promotion. Sure, the extra promotion with Gaga is part of the era and it’s amazing, but the album is the main priority, and I’m just thrilled to finally have the album coming in two weeks. In the meantime let’s try to not be disappointed in Gaga because her entire promotion (which was going to be insane!) has been derailed because of coronavirus. We obviously are all entitled to our differing opinions, but instead of being so worried about the promotion let’s just focus on the music itself since that’s really the most important thing. I’m glad that people all around the world will have Chromatica to dance to while they’re stuck inside to help lift their spirits!

This whole comment is perfect, especially the part in bold.

Gaga obviously loves Chromatica and is very excited about it. She was planning on going all out in promoting this album. She was even going to do a surprise Coachella set... this doesn’t sound like something a disinterested and unenthusiastic artist would do for their art.

Gaga is very old school. She lives for the applause, the way that you cheer and scream for her. That’s not something that you can get when it has to be done digitally. And I’m glad she isn’t doing those living room concerts because honestly I think they’re lame and cringey. But that’s just me.

Just because some of you are not hyped doesn’t mean you should be projecting your feelings onto Gaga, because you couldn’t be more wrong.

You all were exactly like this a few weeks ago but after the new release date and the thongs thing everybody went crazy (this fanbase is so volatile ). I am sure the hype will come back once ROM is released. And about the lack of promo, I really think Gaga had a blast of a promo prepared but if it couldn't go as she wished, she decided to do nothing instead. I am sure she is way more sad about this than all of you though

I just don’t understand how they’re about to release a much anticipated comeback with no successful single out. Or promo single. Or any type of promo ffs... thongs aren’t promo.
