It is not among her best by far but I still like it. It’s far from bad, it’s very good. I would be disappointed if the rest of the album was like that, yeah. But the only other three songs I’ve heard from the leaks all sound better so. Babylon sounds like nothing else out there today and something only Gaga would make right now, ROM sounds absolutely euphoric and powerful. Literally a slay to top telephone likely. and FW demo very 90s house with better and more meaningful lyrics than SL. The other songs she talked about in Paper Magazine interview seem to have more depth lyrically and thematically than SL. So no I think we can already say SL hasn’t set the highest bar for the album.

I do like the song too but what I meant was we got an idea of the theme for this album, it's going to have electronic dance beats similar to the production of Stupid Love and lyrics that won't take itself too seriously. And if this is gonna be the case, we shouldn't expect Chromatica to be at a higher standard than Future Nostalgia.

ARTPOP had a similar theme of “dancing through the pain” and had songs with lyrics about sexual assault, drug addiction, and the mental health consequences of fame layered atop EDM beats so I’m not worried about this.

It also had fun songs like Fashion and Venus too. I wouldn’t take SL being more fun and carefree as that being the case with the rest of the album lyrically. I mean again look at the lyrics she said in the Paper Mag interview

Illuminati Freak

I lived for FN hard and fast but I haven’t listened to it in a few weeks now and novelty has worn off for me now.

Luv u Sum

FN is a polished pop album with no real issues. And that’s just not Gaga and that’s why she’s amazing and her album from 2008 is just as listenable today as it was 12 years ago.

something Dua can’t say after only a few months
