I have no idea, but I remember that when I bought the Japan edition of Madonna's COADF, I noted it sounded better than the EU version I owned before.

I can't remember who said to me back in the days that Japan CDs have the best quality, followed by the US and EU.

I don't know if it's true or not (but for instance, C2C is a Super Audio CD, and has a bonus tracks too)

Sometimes Japanese CDs are available in 24-bit instead of 16-bit it’s possibly that.

Actually it's a mash-up of the mariachi version of Americano, Bad Kids extended, Clover and Shallow trailer version.

It is a real thing. Not just phenomenon.

The actual manufacturing is about the same, but there can be dramatic differences in mastering (or remastering, more commonly these days) the CDs before production. Many Japanese companies insist on using master tapes and proprietary dithering or encoding for catalog CDs, similar to what some US audiophile labels require.

If it's not gonna be a new track

It better be a demo or smn and not another remix :neyde:

I really hope it's gonna be a brand new track, but I think it's gonna be just a remix/some other demo version :enigma:

and I suppose that is why there are entire archives of classic albums from the past that are remastered and released in Japan before any other countries

Those releases in SHM CD with Vinyl replica sleeves are a godsend for audiophiles it seems...

The Japanese version of Joanne had an exclusive Work Tape for Million Reasons so maybe it’ll be another demo that’s exclusive in Japan.

Probably Sour Candy Japanese edition. I've been listening to Blackpink and reading a little bit about them on Wikipedia and I noticed they record their songs in both Korean and Japanese for their respective countries.

Edit: Nvm I think in that case they'd replace the Sour Candy for a Japanese version. It might be a remix since they usually do that. It is very rare for Gaga to leave an original song for the Japan deluxe.

I was going to say this and tbh it is very plausible. BLACKPINK are huge in Japan and easily fill up stadiums. I’m almost positive it is a Japanese version of the song.

every BlackPink song has a Japanese version, the only two that don’t are the collab with Dua Lipa and Jennie’s solo song ‘Solo’
