No, it really doesn’t make sense. People are just used to see women with a small waist, big breasts and wide hips in media, specially in video games because of the rampant sexualisation of women in gaming, that the moment someone doesn’t fit the established mold, people unleash their internal hate towards certain groups of people, and create harmful and ignorant narratives. 

Cisgender women can look like Abby.

Yes, but she’s not trans and she’s not killing that character because he’s a straight white man. She’s seeking revenge. Some are also saying she is an angry feminist simply because she tortured an killed him, but that makes no sense. He killed her dad, so she’s killing him.

Long story short, pretty much the whole plot leaked, and people are not happy, fans everywhere are extremely mad at it. The problem is that theres a big LGBT link in there that is making a lot of people bring out their inner homophobia and transphobia. I normally would avoid spoilers for myself, but after seeing the reaction I just couldnt resist, and I must say, Im not buying the game anymore even on sale...

Its the latter, I think the way they took the story is horrible, I was just pointing out that some people are pretty much blaming the bad stuff on the lgbt subjects. Or saying that they go too far with it that it also hurts the game, calling it an agenda pushing sjw game. (Noone really cared about Ellie being gay, but it looks like they push it way to far on this one)

I'm too late for the party but I just played this and I gotta say what a fcking MASTERPIECE it was, the whole story blew me away, gamers are so basic it's laughable, I believe the whole point of TLOU franchise is to show us how humans behave and it felt too real to me, the way humans grouped whether militarized or cult, also reading the notes along the game gave the perspective of the survivals while they were alive, the whole story revolves around being a human in a post apocalyptic world and doing whatever it takes to survive and rebuild a society, sometimes I think even if Joel wouldn't have saved Ellie it would have been for nothing because it's pretty clear where society has turned out to, power hungry people and I don't think not even the vaccine would have save them

maybe I'm reading into it too much don't know but honestly the harsh critiques only shows how basic the whole gaming world is where they pretty much want an A to B basic save the world story
