Not surprised at all tbh. Doesn't this mean (and further prove) the mortality rate is significantly lower than previously stated?

Yes. The real number is probably even higher, as it takes time for the antibodies to appear on tests and sometimes they dont even show up.

Might be my bad for not being able to read the article fully but I'm on break at work and haven't got the time but what do they mean they found out through a survey?

How can you test antibodies through a survey?

I would think yes. Who knows how many people had "colds" or "flu" in Jan/Feb and actually had Covid

It means it was made on random people. They tested them and found antibodies in 25% of the people.

ADVENTURE

Feel like I dodged a bullet by leaving NYC about a years ago. Hope those affected weren't too bad and are recovering

Yikes. This makes me think that I've probably been infected and was asymptomatic. If not, I'm definitely not in a hurry to go out and get the antibody test and get infected on my way there.

As of a month ago, I worked in NYC in an office 5 days a week, riding packed trains with passengers coughing/sneezing pretty often.

It was an antibody test conducted not so much a survey. It was done using a random selection of people.
