Honestly, Sims 2 > Sims 3 > Sims 4

I hate that there's no character development in non-playable characters in Sims 4. They're just...there.

I'm honestly more excited for Paralives than Sims 5... but we'll see.

I'm shocked they're going in on the online component again considering that led to them killing off Sim City and was also the cause of Sims 4's horrid base game launch.

If they can make a solid base game while including it then sure, but if they don't give the single player base game the attention it deserves then it's going to crash and burn.  Especially after how badly the sims 4 was received at launch.

 

I hope they give the sims traits that will actually give them personality this time compared to sims 4's lifeless emotion traits as well.

 

Also they may have actual competition soon!  A life sim game called Paralives is being developed; here's a clip of a customized house loft.

The characters themselves haven't been shown off yet, but they will be soon (the shadow in the doorway was a tease for that).

There's no release date yet, but they've made SOOO much progress since it was first announced it's crazy.  The development team is incredibly small; the main guy gets over $8000 a month on patreon from people wanting to support the game.

It's supposed to have a fully open neighborhood, you're free to build anywhere and customize it how you'd like, complex personality AI and an in depth character creator, roads and cars, AND there's a big chance stuff like weather/seasons and pets will be included in the base game

I think the only thing that we may get this year is a trailer. 

TS team already said they had years of contents for TS4 so i guess this and next year are gonna be TS4’s last years of support and then they’ll release TS5 by the end of 2021/early 2022

Anyway, we already know the formula for TS5 to be great:

Open World/Neighbours

Good Gameplay

Good Graphics

but i also wanna be surprised by new technologies in the game, i really want it to be smarter and i want it to be easier to build.

I honestly don’t think i’d hate for it to be online but i’ll probably be ok with it if you can also play offline. 

I’m just so impatient and TS4 is already 6 years old. I need a trailer

I love how Paralives is shaping up to be but i think by the time they finish it, TS5 will already be WAAAYYY better. I think i’m still definitely gonna try it tho

I love some TS2 features but the game is basically not playable for me. It’s super buggy, bad graphics, bad CAS and Build and Buy are atrocious.  Paralives is promising but EA’s got a whole team and TS is 20 y.o so i’m sure TS5 will be way better than Paralives. Paralives’s gonna be an interesting alternative tho

The fact this could be a multilayer

Here's what we want:

Sims 2 slightly more developed and better 2020 graphics. That's it. No multilayer. No moodlets. No traits. hell even no open world if the spark of sims 2 was brought back.. Get it together EA

Sims 3 was perfect in the terms on having human looking sims.

I don't like the online concept. Imagine going online and developing a romantic relationship with a Sim controlled by a minor. Seems like a breeding ground for pedophilia and shxt lol. If there's multiplayer I hope it's very well thought out.

I just want the sims 3 with improved graphics and elements of sims 4 emotion system (only less volatile bc my sims be emotionally dysregulated af w/o the emotion inertia mod)

Also it would be cool if they combine the best out of all previous games, like usable cars from Sims 2, open world from Sims 3 and the CAS from Sims 4. Can't wait to see the first trailer, I love The Sims
