Bradley 59,173
Hey guys, I just have some thoughts that I wanna share. Before I begin, let's keep in mind that Chromatica will come sooner or later, it's just a matter of time. This pandemic will end eventually, again it's only a matter of time. So I wanted the Together at Home special to show me how performances could be done and to see whether it's possible for promotion for a new album rollout to be done in the future, and here are some findings I've gathered: 1. Most performances are acoustic or piano-based, they are stripped down renditions of songs which would otherwise have been performed with an intricate band arrangement. Some performers didn't even bother finding a mic to perform. Chromatica cannot be adapted into such performances knowing how it's being described as The Fame 2.0 with climaxes that have bigger choruses than The Fame. Besides, not every song has a positive, healing message like the songs performed in OneWorld do. Those songs might fit into the homely setting, but it doesn't mean Chromatica songs will. 2. There will be no band rehearsals, hence no band arrangements. There will be no physical meetings with musical directors. Unless you are okay with piano and guitar renditions of 19 Chromatica tracks without any hard beats, even if you are, Gaga won't be. Gaga also revealed that she hasn't even met Bobby for more than one month. 3. There will be no dancers to rehearse together. There will be no dancers in any of the promotion. 4. It's not possible to schedule for delivery of outfits or even fitting tests. Gaga only has her normal wardrobe to rely on right now. She would otherwise be able to give us pink hair and crazy haute-couture if it weren't for being quarantined. You won't even get wigs at this point. 5. There will be no new photoshoots other than the ones already done, and some of them are already released, this means that material is getting more and more limited because she hasn't been able to work on Chromatica for a very long time. 6. There will be no lighting, no outfit changes, no backdrop, no audience screaming, no custom-made pianos, all you get is Gaga's living room. I really doubt 19 Chromatica tracks can be adapted to ONE setting. 7. Even if she releases everything she had prepared before the lockdown, she will not be able to do much when it comes to album release week apart from spamming our social media feed. It will basically be over as soon as it's out, unless the quarantining stops soon. 8. All the duets and collaborations will be as good as Hey Girl (no live performance, no photoshoots with them, no music videos unless already shot). 9. No 1-hour long interviews or launching events to explain the concept of the album. Nothing like artRAVE, Roseland, Monster Hall, Dive Bar Tour, iHeartRadio festical, Coachella, none. No tour. 10. The general public isn't ready to celebrate like there isn't a pandemic. Chromatica is a dance album, the audience needs to be in a celebratory mood for that. But it's okay, it doesn't mean that these things will not come ever, we just need to wait for a couple of more months. Right now, the safety and health of everyone is more important. They will be available to us when she's allowed to work on those things. But relaunching an era at this time will have catastrophic effects. It will be irrevocable and Chromatica will forever be associated with incomplete direction, compromised delivery, and being delivered at the wrong time. All of these consequences can be avoided if she were to just wait for a little longer, and the time will come.
TINDER 2,383
This post made me depressed, just thinking how great the rollout would have been if it wasn't for the pandemic! We as a fanbase gonna suffer, but I hope she executes her vision well! Fu*k you Coronavirus! I am tinder
KURUSHITOVSKA 20,451
Miss Rona didn't want Gaga to win this era but she won anyway makig history. China really tried but failed. ¿Qué currículum tiene ésta tarántula?

What little monsters need to do is just be patient, and not whine when she announces a year-end release date. Rihanna has done it before, she released FourFiveSeconds, Bitch Better, American Oxygen intending to launch the R8 era, but decided to relaunch everything the next year with Work, and it turned out to be her most successful and critically acclaimed era. Gaga can do the same, it doesn't matter that Stupid Love was already out. Rihanna is evidence of that.

Dayman 6,179
I think come Summer so long as states are still willing to hunker down like they have been doing we can get on track for things to be “mostly” normal until a vaccine hits. It should be possible for closer to normal promotion come then - even with social distancing being practiced and other precautionary measures taken. Live events with crowds will probably be off the table for quite some time however - and any productions will probably be limited in crew. But it’s not going to be as strict lockdown in America by mid summer, but I repeat, that’s IF and only IF states continue the course they’re on and ignore demands to reopen too early. But Rihanna wanted a No. 1 hit to Kickstart the Era, that's why she releases those songs but when they didn't clicked, she removed them entirely from the album! I just hope Gaga can execute her vision for the Era that's all! I am tinder

Genuine Guy 09 13,941
The later she delays, the more possible it becomes. If lockdown ends end of May then an August release isn't too out the question imo Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight

Fingers crossed for things to get better. Like you said, things will start to get rolling but there are still many limitations to the way things are done, and knowing how the music industry is so dependent on coordination between crews and members, I think she can at most start working on BTS promotion like shooting photos and recording stuff rather than launching concerts. Hence, I think it's better to wait for the end of the year.

It's not like you have to wait for 2 years, just until perhaps November or December, depending on how the situation is.
DonnieDarko 10,186
They will lift the restrictions in the US by June/July. Tv shows will come back and tv performances with no audience or limited audience too. She’s gonna be ok and will give us a limited but still enjoyable album promo in August.
