Look, as a Bernie supporter, I very much understand the angry and frustration when facing the reality that he's not going to be our president, but voting for Donald Trump would be so much worse. It's a huge gamble to just assume that Trump will make a more progressive future. He can and will easily take it more to the right. We don't need a more conservative country. I believe it needs to get worse to get better. I was a Bernie supporter but not his unquestionable follower

Did they stop you from registering? Or maybe they were really sneaky and allowed you to register but then stopped you from voting? Was that it? The fact is Bernie didn't get the votes. He received less support in most states than 2016
Shaney 5,515
I don't see how Biden can possibly win. He's running the laziest campaign ever. Laziness /= success.

Convince people your platform is the best... and if you look at opinion polls, he failed to do that (thank god). If Joe Biden’s platform is trash, and he doesnt change it, that is only on him. Same w Hillary. Same w John Kerry. Trump platform is better? Do you like to see children in cages, discriminatory legislation, the total end of obamacare, a republican controlled supreme court for the next 30 years? People can do what they want, but only the stupid ones cant see the huge differences between Trump and Biden platforms, even if they dont get what they want. Voting Biden in, and not getting him to budge left could lead to 4-8 years of the status quo as well as another 4-8 years with a Republican presidency. It’s pushing the progressive movement out of the picture for a decade by voting for Biden. It’s best to still vote because we need the house and the senate but we can give up the presidency. The senate will ensure we block trumps Supreme Court nominee like the republicans did and ensures that the legislative branch doesn’t pass anymore agregiois legislation. Trump may veto everything the democrats pass but that would push us even further to a victory in 2024.

The term "Bernie Bro" is used by the media (left, right, or center) and supporters of other candidates (again, left, right, or center) to discredit Bernie's coalition as a bunch of angry white male trolls. Funny how Bernie had the most diverse coalition out of all of the 2020 Democratic candidates... Bernie didnt have that. That's why Biden won. However Bernie had the young voters. That's true. And if the Senate still ends up with a Republican majority, then Trump gets to appoint more Supreme Court judges and make the court even more conservative. Goodbye, Roe v. Wade. Goodbye, marriage equality. Moreover, the environment will be even further f*cked, we'll still have kids in cages, and if we have another global pandemic, then we'll really be screwed (of course, the next president will still be dealing with covid-19). I am not willing to take such a risk. I'm not Biden fan, but I'm not about to let this country be further wrecked. She/Her/Hers
