Put some respect on The Fame’s name

I voted it as the 'worst' not because it's a bad album but just because that's how the poll was worded.

The album is definitely iconic and it has a bunch of my favourite Gaga songs, but apart from 4 singles and 2 album tracks I don't love the other songs as much. I 'like' most tracks apart from Eh Eh and Summerboy, I just don't feel the urge to listen to them, they don't excite me... Whereas I love most of TFM, BTW, ARTPOP and Joanne. Every album has a few lame songs though.

I adore The Fame, it’s one of my all time favorite debut albums. If I had to pick a least favorite Gaga album it would be The Fame, but I hate saying that because I love the album so much. It’s not even that it’s my least favorite, it’s just that as Gaga grows and her career moves forward, I think she keeps improving with each new release. Ranking it lowest on my list is in no way a diss on TF, but more of a compliment on how she keeps growing. The album is iconic and will always be iconic!

Well, while I agree the album isn't her worst and it's not as dated as Hard Candy or Shock Value, I had a blast with the meltdown. I don't even know where to begin to quote. Beautiful, Dirty, Rich and Starstruck and Summerboy are bangers and far from fillers but gurl, chill a bit. It ain't that deep.

The album is bop after bop! I am so sick and tired of people not appreciating TF :grr: Yes, it sounds dated but that was sort of the point. It was a nod to 80s pop/dance music through a 2007-8 lens. It's one of her more cohesive albums and has such a fun vibe to it

Warning

I still find myself revisiting this album quite very often, I don't know if it's because of nostalgia or something else, it just draws me, Paper Gangsta, Paparazzi alone just to name a few blows modern albums by mile. And some people who judges album success by streams or other measurements needs a reality check, you can't say it aged like a milk or similar stuff just because it has a different sounding, it has many real instrumentals playing in some songs as well which it makes it more future proof as real instruments never get dated unlike pure electro dance albums for example early 2000s techno, house music etc.

The description for Paper Gangsta and Starstruck had me dying. The Fame is THAT girl that started it all. The younger monsters just don't understand how much of an impact the album had in the music industry at the time, but regardless of all that every song on the album is a bop.

Given that you've written an essay on the subject don't you think it's a reasonable assumption that you care too much about other people's opinions?

Sneaky Oliver

I understand why most of the fan base may consider it their least favorite record, but here’s an enigma for me: why people dislike Money Honey so much?? It exudes power and sexiness, it’s so sultry and fancy. I’d easily choose it as a single over Starstruck
