Why are there 5 Chromatica covers?

Do not attack me for being super picky over these small differences, I thought it was something interesting to share with those who might care and frankly I have very little to do in quarantine.  

I've been saving all the Chromatica covers I come across on my phone that are HQ so that I can use the best one for my iTunes and other bits, but noticed that five covers that I have saved all have slight little differences. I've gone through the effort of putting them in some kind of collage to (hopefully) explain what I mean. The Official cover that Gaga revealed herself is labelled as O1 (Offical 1). I'll explain the differences below:

D1: This is the a HQ image of the first leak we had on that record website. Its got the "tentacle" symbol on it and is pretty dark. I havent posted it here, but both draft images are also slightly more zoomed out than the official covers.

D2: This is the same as D1 except the symbol and some of the mechanical bits in the corners have been brightened up slightly. It basically seems like a more edited version of D1. Almost like a nice middle ground between the official metallic symbol and the darker tentacle symbol in D1.

O1: This cover is the official one uploaded by Gaga herself. The O covers all have the same official "metallic" symbol but the main differences are in Gaga's face and the saturation/contrast of each image. Notice the shading on Gaga's face, and how you can see the shadow of her eyelashes (i think?). 

O2: This cover is has a slightly higher saturation and contrast compared to O1, but her face has also been touched up, the shadows on her face seem more blemished. The rest of the cover also seems more touched up (although I haven't shown here). The surface which she lays on seems slightly touched up too (the surface in O1 seems to have more markings and less softened but upon further examination, I might just be seeing things)

O3: This cover is basically a combination of the saturation/contrast of O1 with the face shadows and touches of O2. 

And that's basically it. I find it interesting how the cover Gaga uploaded seems to be a less touched up picture than O2 and O3. What do y'all think? why are there so many drafts?

I have no idea why they are so different, but I sincerely admire your detective work.

Also, I personally prefer D1 with the 01 face. And is it just me, or does her nose look bigger in 02 and 03?

It's probably compression, format or integrated ICC profile. We have to wait for the original TIFF file to see its original form

I don’t think they have been, the first two are clearly drafts just based off the fact that the symbol is entirely different. I don’t think fans would digitally edit the shadows on Gaga’s face either tbh but maybe I’m wrong, maybe that explains why there’s a few covers floating around haha

One is official. The others are modified by fans and editors.

I’ve checked and her nose had remained exactly the same in all three O images, except slight colour and contrast change that have applied to the whole images

Would compression change shadows on her face tho?  the files I’ve been comparing are 3000x3000px for the D images and 3600x3600 for the O images

Oh yeah that’s the official symbol but I didn’t bother posting along with the other two symbols just because it’s a very obvious difference. This cover you posted is O1 on my image
