Just Dance is sad and bland compared to stupid love. Maybe it was something "amazing" in 2008, but now it's old and tired; like most of The Fame tbh :vegas:

Just Dance is iconic and it was her debut single. She is now 12 years into her career and she shouldn't be releasing basic songs like SL, she is not a newcomer anymore.

Yes.

lazy, basic, bland, generic, uninspired, lifeless, empty, dull, soulless, a shadow of her former self

I know that the album will be much better than that.

I'm kinda scared for the album. Why would she release this mess as the first single if the other songs are much better.

Better doesn’t always means easily marketable. Clearly SL was chosen because it got the easiest listening factor. It is no secret in general anyway that better songs are always in deep cuts.

Bad Kids

i cant imagine other artist singing it, so i think its not generic

And when you say my name, like white horses on the waves, I think it feels the same, as an ocean in my veins.

It did well on radio i think but the GP said no. So maybe not the wisest choice to introduce the era, sometimes it is better to take risks.

I'd say it feels generic as a Gaga song, because she got us used to her releasing stuff that sounds pretty unique.
But as a non-Gaga song, it's okay

People saying no haven’t listened to enough pop music that isn’t Gaga in the last few years. That kind of chorus is a trend that’s been going on at least since 2017 and most basic artists do it.

A bop can be generic tho. Look at Ava Max’s discography :ohwell:

I think it’s one of her worst songs tbh except some parts of the song that i really like ( all i ever wanted was love, higher higher). The song is just not up to Gaga’s standards and she admitted she didn’t put much effort into it both lyrically and musically( by passing it around to many producers). We should take it as that. A cute bop that unfortunately is not good enough to be a Gaga lead. I keep saying that’s some Ava Max’s s*** ( i love Ava but her songs are just cute bops)

It's not generic but it's not catchy enough, the melody is very bland. The chorus is just one line repeated over and over, the chopped-up vocal is not catchy either. It gets a bit annoying when you listen to it plenty of times, the beat is irritating which makes me not want to listen to it again. My friends really like Dua's Don't Start Now but they don't like Stupid Love even though they love other songs of Gaga (Applause, DWUW, G.U.Y...). They say it's loud and noisy and she sounds like she's screeching. I'm not trashing the song but it's what my friends and I feel about it.

GAGA IS MY LIFELINE
