Did u know Greece lied for years in their statistics before the Eurozone crisis to be allowed to borrow more money than EU rules normally allow? Western Countries like USA and all of Europe are not as able to lie about things that are clear to see in public- due to free press, separately governed states, free people with more means of open communications, scientists that can easily communicate numbers without fear of being repremanded, etc..
