The "critic" is a Brittany Spears stan. And like every Brittany Spears stan, they are bothered by Gaga the way they have been since 2008 when The Fame thwarted Brittany's comeback and Gaga eclipsed that TRL fad in a matter of a few years.

One day, Gaga stans will wake up and realize all obsessive Gaga haters are Brittany stans.

Just look at the "critic's" twitter history https://twitter.com/search?q=%40luberachi britney &src=typed_query

unnecessary shade.

"Dua Lipa finds the sound that Lady Gaga has been chasing for years"  Gaga comes up with a different sound on each album, doing whatever she likes at the moment.

"Lipa brought the release date forward by a week, because “the thing we need the most at the moment is joy”.  she just released it in advance because it leaked, c'mon!

I'm not pitting anyone against anyone.. I'm just saying that Dua's album is actually really good.

Also Gaga has been hinting at disco sound since like 2015 and she still didn't deliver.

Also fans didn't complain when PitchFork mentioned Dua in Gaga's review.. What the fuss now?

I know Gaga was commisioned to do a Chic cover for Tom Ford, but she hasn't been near disco since. Not even Stupid Love is disco - its roots are in 80s New Wave (which is why the NYT review of Stupid Love confused me when they titled their article "Gaga's Disco Inferno"). Chromatica is described to have elements of Chicago house. Joanne and ASIB clearly were never going involve disco. So when has she ever hinted at doing disco?

Also, P4K didn't insult Dua in their article, they praised both of them.

The thing is that some of the people here can't argue against this and at the same time not drag Dua as if she said anything against Gaga. Fans wanted Gaga to do disco album for years and I'm sure fans would die if she released something like FN. I can't predict future but I honestly do think so.

Because maybe Rotney stans like this critic need to focus on getting their lip-synching, dog-abusing fave out of her conservatorship and stop worrying so much about Gaga?

River

It's sad that the media is still tearing women apart and fueling the stan war and the stan toxicity.

But pay attention that it's an Irish media, UK media, and they are evil, psychotic and the same people that caused actual tragedies of celebrities in the UK.

I can't wait for both albums, I never paid attention to Dua, her materials before FN were not interesting for me, but I never hated her or trashed her, because I always leave the door open to every artist as long as they are not problematic and well, it was worth it because now I discovered her amazing new music.

FN and Chromatica, Dua and Gaga, are different, there's nothing to compare.

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

What a load of BS

If Gaga wants to do disco, she would've done it by now. But instead she stuck to what she's passionate with and made jazz, soft rock, and country albums.

And it's a fact that if Dua's album did not leak, her team might have postponed it too.

Ahh! The lashings! Truth was finally said. :ladyhaha:

I just don't agree about the "sound Gaga been chasing". We know Gaga can create a hot pop track easily.

Judas is coming, let the cultural baptism begin.

The btch who wrote this review will be dealt with.

Gaga herself has said that she doesn't like to do the same things twice. She explored the sound Dua is doing right now back in '08. Why do we have to pin women against each other? Dua and Gaga are doing their own things and killing it, so this need to try to create new drama is unnecessary and stupid, especially in 2020.

Let me just add that TF, TFM and BTW are heavily inspired by 80s genres so lets not..
