“Sanders' campaign confirms that all digital ads have been cancelled. Sanders spokesman Mike Casca says they are "conserving resources."

It’s time to bow out. He’s not going to catch up.

Bernie could donate his remaining money to Food Banks, the homeless, Meals on Wheels...something he supports.

I find that delusional view are depressing...when a post acknowledges a point that has been overlooked , its refreshing... not that Bernie is losing , so much that the need to back Biden over Trump is important now that voters have spoken.

like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. My words give a clue, look inside to see whats true

Delusional views are depressing...okay. Well I appreciate the backhanded compliment. Nice to know someone else with decency around here.

REALITY

I disagree with you. But vote for whoever you feel comfortable voting for, but I see my vote more useful for the Green Party than to reward the DNC for rigging another election.

I just want to add that do you realize how many times this technique has been used? It wasn't the time in 2004. It wasn't the time in 2016. You're saying now is not the time now in 2020. How many times are you going to let the moderates of the party tell you that the biggest enemy is the republicans before you realize that the enemy number 1 is not the republicans, it's the moderates of our own party. We are never going to win if we always fold to the moderates. They know just as well as you do that they need your vote in order to win. By denying them your vote automatically, you now have leverage. It is beyond time for progressives to force the moderates to take losses to republicans until they realize that it's not "their way or the highway" anymore. You can sit here and tell me that Biden all of a sudden agrees with free college tuition, but let's see where he stands after he has won election. I have already put forth the number of various lies he told on Sunday regarding his record. If he is willing to lie about his record from the past, what makes you think he is being honest about what he wants to do in the future? Saying Orange Man Bad is not good enough. It is not good enough just to be "Not Trump."

And again, that kind of attitude will get Trump re-elected. Is that what you want?

Look, I'm a progressive, but I'm also a realist. I believe in Bernie. I always have, even if he wasn't my initial candidate of choice. I recognize that the establishment is corrupt (both for Democrats and Republicans). I'm not ignorant to what's going on. However, our common enemy is  Donald Trump. We need to fight back against the establishment, yes, but the first move in order to do that is to make sure that we're in a position to at least attempt  to do that. With Trump in the White House for 4 more years, say goodbye to any chance of that happening. At least with Biden, there's a slim  chance that we might be able to get our agenda across.

Do you want to know who our common enemy is? It's people like my parents. They are hardcore Republicans who praise Trump like he's a god (especially my father). The other night, when FOX News was covering the debate, they were disgusted  and appalled  that Biden would want a woman, and more so potentially an African American woman  to be his VP. These are the kinds of people we need to defeat. Look, I have immense respect for my parents, but their political views are utter ****. If you're telling me that these views aren't what we should be fighting against, but instead those of moderate Democrats, then I don't know what to tell you.

I said in my reponse that this is not the ideal situation. I would much rather have the more aggressive and progressive agenda that Bernie proposes, but this discussion is not Bernie vs. Biden. This discussion is Biden vs. Trump.

I also did not say that Biden fully agrees with free college tuition. I said he does, "to a certain extent". Will he actually pass those kinds of laws? I don't know. Maybe, maybe not.

And while it is your right to do what you want with your vote, I disagree with the notion of voting for third parties, in almost any instance. While third parties have had significant effects on our government in the past, a vote for a third party, in this instance, is just a vote for Trump. That's the reality of the situation.

I'm a resigned Bernie supporter, at this point he could stay in the race to adovacte for his policy. And it's his prerogative to stay in the race. A lot of you people whining, cajoling and threatening him to remove himself from the race is very amusing tbh

But a lot of Bernie Sanders youth support will not vote for Biden whatsoever in no way shape or form.

Primarily in America older voters tend to vote republican which is statistically proven factor.

So putting a weak candidate and gaffe machine like Bernie will make a lot of progressives vote third-party or write in Bernie which will make sure of a trump win.

Biden isn't even trying to win the progressive vote.

A vote for a third party is a vote for a third party. Saying it is a vote for Trump is an over-simplication to push a political agenda. My point is also that what is preventing a progressive presidency is not republicans, it is moderate democrats. They continue to bully progressives in conjunction with the party apparatus, big donors and corporate media and then demand our loyalty in return for symbolic victories. Voting for the moderate because they are the least shitty option out of 2 people is no reason to vote for a moderate candidate. You keep working on the assumption that Trump is worse than Biden, but when you look at the policy, where do you come to that conclusion?

Obama/Biden are how the cages turned to a reality, not Trump.

Obama/Biden are the reason Trump is in the white house now bc of the continued support for big corporations and the lack of support for working people.

Biden has a much worse record than Hillary Clinton, who I personally find to be one of the most abhorrent people on this planet. That's saying something. Every progressive anything and you can find a Joe Biden vote or speech against it.

While I don't want Trump in office, I don't think that voting for Joe is best for the progressive movement. I think your refusal to vote for 3rd party is really a self-limitation that you could remove if you wanted to but that's your decision to make. I would just argue that if you look at Teddy Roosevelt, who created his own party, he won 27% of the vote and beat the Republican party nominee but did not win over the democratic nominee Woodrow Wilson. The way forward for a 3rd party would be to unite the populist left and populist right (think Bernie/Tulsi; bernie appeals to the hardcore socialists and Tulsi appeals to the conservatives despite having similar domestic and foreign policies). I would rather vote 3rd party and give the Green party a chance to make that happen than to vote for Joe and tell the DNC that it's ok to do everything they did in this primary to stop Bernie because I'm going to vote for Joe anyway.

at this point i'm seeing the same arguments over and over again. biden is probably gonna be the nominee. he's a weak candidate in my opinion, and i don't know if he can win, but i certainly know now that sanders can't win because he can't even get people out to vote for him in the primary. is this unfortunate? yes it is. but this is the hand that we've been dealt.

in the end, if you honestly think that joe biden is worse than trump (someone who denied the coronavirus was even REAL in the beginning of all this) then just don't vote for him and stay home or vote third party. not a particularly bright move in my eyes, but do whatever you want, it's your right to do so.

Biden isn't even trying to win the progressive vote.

Biden has adopted Bernie's plan to make public colleges and universities tuition free for families making less than $125,000. He has also adopted Elizabeth Warren's Bankruptcy proposal.

He's pledged to rejoin the Paris Agreement, he's pledged to put a qualified black woman on the Supreme Court, and he has pledged to make a woman his VP candidate. He's trying.

And I say this as a long-time Bernie supporter. And as a Bernie supporter, I believe it's time for Bernie to drop out.

I think Bernie for awhile now knew he wasn't going to actually be the nominee. The math hasn't been adding up. I think he's staying up to the point that he has the most influence to push his more progressive agenda forward. He knows Biden will need to start adopting more progressive stances in an attempt to unify the party and is playing to that. Now the question is: is that now or at the convention?

Biden chose to adopt Bernie's plan as of when?

I'm sorry but if you can't recognize out right pandering for the vote, I don't know what to tell you. Biden has a record. It shows his ideology and what his priorities are. Those priorities aren't going to change because he all of a sudden picked 1 or 2 policies to adopt of Bernie's or Warren's. Also, just because he adopts it doesn't mean he's gong to make it a legislative priority. It is a symbolic victory at best. It doesn't really mean anything.

I think you guys sometimes forget that the reason Biden was ever Vice President was because they thought Obama was too far left and that he needed a good conservative democrat that happened to be an old white guy to convince people to vote for the first black presidential nominee.

How many times are you guys going to say we need to vote for the establishment wing candidate and how many times are they going to lose before you guys figure out they were never going to win (2000, 2004, 2016 and on our way to 2020).

Head to Head polling was actually quite accurate with regard to Hillary vs Trump but was not an electoral victory bc Hillary got majority of her votes in safe blue states instead of swing states. 2016 showed Bernie beating Trump by larger margins than Clinton. He would have beat Trump in 2016. Bernie consistently beats Trump in 2020 election polls, albeit by smaller margins than 2016. You can cherrypick the election polls that show Biden as more electable in swing states than Bernie and others that show Bernie more electable than Biden in the same swing states. I would say that with the corona virus and a failing economy, Bernie would do even better going forward whereas Biden would not.

As for your last comment, I appreciate the respect given to the decision to vote for whomever even if you disagree with who I would vote for.

Bare minimum

But is it enough!?!

The general election will prove it.

I've said earlier Bernie is an unconventional politician he'll probably drop out when some backdoor deal is made between the camps about him(Biden) adopting some of Bernie'spolicies
