Got Dynamite 0
It is really confusing... and isn't it easier to just say "m"? Lol Its just because I usually use this on charts forums. I'm accustomed. haha. The public by show till now is 17k. I don't think that it was so many stadiums. Maybe this grow up with the Latin American Dates, but not much, are just 12 dates. Ok, guys, i changed KK to M lol Edited October 27, 2012 by Bruno Brito
Rollercoaster 2
She's really not playing that many stadiums at least not enough to make up for a 70date difference, the prices aren't that much higher either. And why she did stadiums, she didn't do multiple shows, she had like 11 dates in the UK for TMB and just four this time and if you probably add up the 11 arena dates she did compared to the 4 stadium dates, it's probably isn't that much of an increase in attendance. It was always unrealistic to expect a $300m gross or something that ridiculous She is getting more ticket purchases with this tour. That's a fact. Remember, she started the Monster Ball as a theatre show and the first shows didn't even sell out completely. 1,469,682 was her total ticket sales for the Monster Ball. 1,048,287 is the current total for ticket sales for the Born This Way Ball. Either Merchandise hasn't been added yet for the gross or they've mis-calculated. When she's finished with the South American leg of the tour, she will have outsold the Monster ball and should technically have outgrossed it, too. Although. weren't prices reduced for lower rated economies? I dunno. Either way, there's no way she won't outgross TMB or come near 300M. By the end of the tour she will have played to around 2M people. With the price of some of those tickets, especially in SA.. well... yeah. I think the best she'll do would be to match TMB with the current number of dates she has. Honestly I'd love to be wrong and if she outgrosses TMB or even get to $300m, then quote this post again and I'll be glad to admit I was wrong

Crash 11
...But what are your foundations for this? The higher pricing or the higher overall attendance? The pricing and how many shows Seems like it's really only the SA legs that are a marked difference, I don't think the tickets everywhere else are that much higher than TMB. She's made $118m so far, she'll have to double that and more to make $300m and there's only like 40+ dates left. I'll be really surprised. StrawberryBlond 14,261
StrawberryBlond, can you update? São Paulo's date now has a capacity for 70,200 people, confirmed on T4F's Facebook (the promoter that is bringing her here). I think that she will gross something like 250M-270M. Here in Latin America, I expect something between 45-60M. The tickets are REALLY REALLY expensive. Just in Mexico she will do something like 4M. You can imagine Argentina, here in Brazil, Paraguay, with that ****ing expensive tickets? Updated. Have you got any more information about the rest of the Latin dates? I can only give rough figures and still have no information about the second Puerto Rican date or Porto Alegre. Plus, tickets are always being added, so it's difficult to determine which shows are properly sold out.
henaub 191
I'm from Costa Rica and there's something very tricky about the venue capacity first the producers were saying it was gonna fit 44000 people, but today they said it was reduced to 38000 becuase of the stage (they off course already knew the proportions of the stage so big big lie) also they have said that half 25000 tickets have been sold but according to my numbers only 17476tickets have been purchased (until this afternoon) and one last thing my brother and i almost everyday check on the sales and the special packages were selling really slow(im a big fan and i wouldnt buy it myself i mean almost $360) and then suddenly one day they were sold out. An other thing is that Costa Rica initially wasnt supossed to have MP so it could have reduced the numbers (i know is not the best english but well thats what i can do) what do you think about this? She's made $118m so far, she'll have to double that and more to make $300m and there's only like 40+ dates left. I'll be really surprised. The amount of shows is irrelevant though. She made more from one show in Paris on the btwb than she did with 4 shows in France with tmb. Basically, each stadium show of this tour equates to four of the previous tour. Couple that with higher pricing (Tmb started with £20 tickets, remember, before the price was bumped up.) There's no reason for anyone to think it won't outgross the monster ball. All the number of shows reflects is how many shows there are. There's a reason Madonna grosses so high with so few shows, they are called stadiums. This is incorrect, during the Monster Ball she played in front of 2.5 million people, not 1.5 million. The box office score data on Wikipedia does not include all shows. If you'd add all the numbers of the shows you wouldn't end up on $227M either. You'll have to add about 1 million for the final attendance for the Monster Ball and she won't pass 2.5M for the BTWBall, she might make the same gross though. The capacity of the stadium was supposed to be 35.000 and about 27.000 are still available, so that would mean 8000 sold. You can count all the available tickets on the site. There's no way that 25.000 tickets or even 17.000 have been sold!
