RAMROD 105,645
It alright. It's not terrible, it's just bland. No reason to hate it, especially obsessively so. It believe it will look nicer in person.
crownlessking 147 Posted yesterday at 12:07 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:07 AM I think it's hard to tell until we listen to the album. However, I personally really like it. Grunge aesthetics, dark. Uncomfortable. Seems to line up with everything else we've heard about Mayhem!
GreenEyes 765 Posted yesterday at 12:08 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:08 AM (edited) I actually like it more than the alternate slightly. I like that she looks like Edward scissorhands, I like the description and its connection with happy mistake. I also am going with what she’s said that with this album you think you know what you’re getting into but you’re don’t, and I think the cover implies that statement. LadyxGaGa 1,315 Posted yesterday at 12:08 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:08 AM yeah i rly rly think it’s like how i wanted ARTPOP to b tbh it’s so simple yet so captivating it’s giving me the fame monster
Dr Fudge 8,617 Posted yesterday at 12:16 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:16 AM I like it, but Chromatica’s was superior imo. I think she’s spoiled us with so many incredible looks over the years that her quieter fashion, while still interesting, doesn’t evoke the same awe Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years. 6
JohnnyVersace 8,812 Posted yesterday at 12:23 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:23 AM I think it's def a nod to TFM and BTW (bonus edition) and I love that. It's her return to fearless pop, and the super clean cover let's the music speak for itself. That being said I love the special edition one on the site more.
Bobina 1,413 Posted yesterday at 12:27 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:27 AM I don't hate it. But I do prefer the alternative cover and it's probably my 2nd least favorite cover.
JoeMo 3,752 Posted yesterday at 12:33 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:33 AM I don’t dislike it. I would have preferred something a bit more like the disease promo pic. www.youtube.com/jmremixes
Lodeclaire 70 Posted yesterday at 12:33 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:33 AM I actually prefer the standard cover!! However.....Nothing will ever live up to Chromatica cover IMO
Alfonso 1,433 Posted yesterday at 12:42 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:42 AM I think it's better than the deluxe one. Let's see if they grow on me later. Chromatica was such a great and iconic cover, that it just held the standard so high up
CautiousLurker 17,448 Posted yesterday at 12:46 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:46 AM (edited) I think it works with the overall aesthetic well - I love the deep orange with the B&W and I think the font is perfect - it's not overly complex, but it's effective and slick aesthetically Edited yesterday at 12:49 AM by CautiousLurker Men are naturally more dominating, aggressive, and logical thinking because we have balls. NosfeGaga 7 Posted yesterday at 12:46 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:46 AM I voted for no BUT after her explanation that it's more of a visual translation of her trying to revive her old self but in a way that is authentic to her current, more mature version, it's starting to grow on me. My first impression was that it was meant to be read purely as a dichotomy symbolism (which would be very bland for a broken mirror) but the fact that she's basically the one who put the pieces together makes it a lot more interesting. I might be switching sides soon We'll haunt like Liberace.
StressedOut 617 Posted yesterday at 12:49 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:49 AM it's fine, but I much prefer the alt version tbh!!!
TheOriginalOne 9,676 Posted yesterday at 12:50 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:50 AM I understood the meaning before she even said anything but to me personally it’s probably my least favorite cover, aesthetics wise. However, I like it more than the “deluxe” version but I really want to buy the deluxe vinyl on her site because of the 15th song. I wish she would just confirm if that’s a (happy) mistake or if there is actually an extra song so I can purchase already.
