Britney reportedly doesn't want to work because of her Conservatorship

Britney Spears is attempting her best to set boundaries against her highly-suspect conservatorship, which sees her father, Jamie Spears, control her multi-million dollar estate, any personal affairs and day-to-day tasks since 2008.

In a report from Us Weekly, a source revealed that the pop titan, 38, has been enjoying her time away from the spotlight and paused work ventures as a way to protest against her father, 67. "Britney has expressed that she doesn’t want to work again because she doesn’t want to continue to essentially keep herself under the conservatorship,” the source revealed. “Britney resents that her dad is given a monthly allowance which is around $10,000 a month for his services overseeing her finances."

Another source revealed that Spears is "in no rush to record new music." "The thought barely crosses her mind. This is the longest break between album cycles in her career — it’s coming up on four years since Glory was released — and she’s perfectly content with it," the source added.

Earlier this month, the entertainer's youngest son, Jayden, 13, took to Instagram Live and shared his own resentment for Jamie Spears, calling him "a pretty big d*ck." Additionally, he said that he was trying to support his mother, but "they're all over [him]."

After a much-publicized physical altercation last September between his grandpa and his older brother Sean, 14, which resulted in their dad Kevin Federline, ex-husband of Britney, to seek a restraining order against Jamie with regard to his sons. 

After Jamie had a fight with her son Sean Preston, Britney has kept her distance from her dad.

Because of a restraining order that her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, has against Jamie, he can't be near the kids.

A source said: "Britney hasn’t been spending time with her dad, and very much remains angry that she doesn’t have the boys as much as she did in the past.

Britney really needs the help of a specialist, she has mental problems, but who would not have after such events.

But she needs real care and a lot of love. By limiting her contact with her truest love, that is her children, she is greatly hurt. It's unthinkable.

Her father is a really bad man, he has no hope, he will never change.

We need to change her patron/curator as soon as possible - and it must be someone absolutely neutral, not from her environment, not bribed, not wanting to use her

I don't think music should be a priority for her right now anyways....she clearly is dealing with some serious things behind the scenes with her family and her mental health, sooooooo I don't need or care for new music from her right now

I mean, I wouldn’t wanna work period. It’s a lot of work and eyeballs on you. Especially when you already have trauma. Plus she really never NEEDS to work again.

Britney made her mark. She's an icon. She's richer than god. She needs to lay low, be a good mom and enjoy her life. Of course, she can always make music at some later date.

I just want to say, I adore her as a person and stan her, but I want her to enjoy her indefinite hiatus and live her life the best she possibly can under her restrictions. If she never wants to make music, as much as i'll be sad i'll respect it.   I think it's amazing she is putting her foot down and not helping those rats around her!

I'm really hoping things get better and the hearing in April goes well...

Good for her and I’m glad she’s taking as much control as she can. I hope when she releases a new album (if it happens ) will be when she’s a free artist at last.

She needs and deserves to be happy and to me she should focus on fighting with the law to solve this issue and live happily ever after without the spotlight on her and stress of touring/media machine. I think she should retire completely

Britney is an adult and can make decisions for herself. You gotta be in a REALLY REALLY REALLY bad condition for a grown adult to have a conservatorship

Have they considered that this conservatorship could be a huge part of her mental stability though? I mean, I wonder how she would be mentally without it. I feel like she would be in a much better place.

Well, you probably have no idea what can happen with a mentally ill person behind the curtain.
At first glance, she may look good and healthy, but many small things reveal that she is not ok with herself that's first of all.
Second thing - after all, all opinions had to be doctors and make appropriate recommendations.
Third - a person whose mind does not work properly is not a standard adult and therefore cannot decide about herself.

It's pretty clear that she doesn't want to be a pop star anymore and hasn't for years. 

I hope one day soon she can just retire and live peacefully.
