What's Gaga doing to her pop career? Why did she release SL? Or maybe she didn't want to but Interscope forced her, I don't know. But I'm sad for her tbh. Look at today's Spotfy numbers. Already below 500k streams in US. That's really bad because the song still has a huge support in playlists. And it's #15 on Itunes now. Some fans keep relying on radio but radio alone can't hold a song. We need at least two metrics: stream + radio or radio + very good sales.

I don't think she cares? I mean with what is going on in the world right now we shouldn't care either? I will say though it's odd that she hasn't made a public appearance since Stupid Love was released. :oprah:

Deserved.

A terrible choice for a lead single. What was she and her uncompetent yes-men team thinking?

Like you have any idea about running a music career

You can see she cares a lot by the fact they invested huge money on promo for SL (billboards, ads, playlists, banners, etc). And that AM cover today, wasn't for free. They keep trying. So I think she cares.

She had nothing to do with that it's all her team. If it was up to Gaga she would drop the album and visuals go on tour and that's that. How do y'all stan someone and know nothing about them lol..

The song is honestly not really universal or bold enough to rank any higher than it did. I think it's AMAZING that it got to the TOP5.

I agree partially with you, but I hate when people say that kind of stuff about the song and completely forget that it leaked a month before its release and that she did not promote it with live performances. There is absolutely no reason to believe SL would fall so hard on the charts if those things hadn't happened.

IMO, the song is good and the production is on point, just not innovative like some people were expecting from Gaga. But that's not a reason to hate on the song so hard like some "fans" were doing in the first week.

Do you really think she doesn't care about charts? LOL It's easy to say that when her song isn't performing well, but with ASIB, she celebrated the #1 for Shallow, she posted a picture with her Oscar, BAFTA, Grammys and a plaque showing ASIB had sold 6kk WW.

Obviously if I was being awarded for a movie I spent so much time working on i would celebrate those awards too.... Celebrating the accomplishments of your songs and movie have no correlation to "caring about charts" but ok.... Do you think someone who cares about charts would try to release Aura as a first single from an album just wondering...:sis:

Bad Romance leaked way in advance before its official release. "Stupid Love" is just not the kind of song that the general audience likes, there really isn't much to do about it.

It sounds like Born This Way album track. Is that bad? not for me, I love that album, and I enjoyed "Stupid Love" from the let go.

But I'm a Lady GaGa fan, I like her music, I like her sound, so I enjoy all of her pop tracks, even the "less impressive" ones. The general public will simply not resonate with "Stupid Love", the song is bland for her standard and the music video is below her usual efforts.

Again, it is not a tragedy. I like the song, I didn't liked the video, but I don't care.

I'm just enjoying the music. Charts and sales are things her label should worry about, not me.

I will just dance and sing, I'm not her manager to worry about that kind of stuff :ladyhaha:. But yeah, in my opinion the leak changed nothing.

Same for "Aura", the song was weird as hell, even without the leak it wouldn't have done great as a single. We should just enjoy "Stupid Love" for what it is, and let her team do their job.

The comment about the kindness / love thing hit me, that stands out to me the most when I watch the video.

It’s super cringe to me and the video loses any potential or impact because she’s scared to show a hint of violence. There’s two gays sissy slapping each other, the tribes have toy guns for show. She interrupts them so easily and they start dancing. And kindness punks? Really? It’s too gay for me.

This woman wore a dress made of raw meat and bled to death during one of her performances starting out. What happened to that artist.

:fthis::fthis::fthis::messga::messga::messga:

Stop relating gayness with weakness. She was pretty gay during The Fame Monster and Born This Way too and did all the things you complimented on this post (meat dress, bleed to deat) and more.

Ok I have to agree with this.

But she is not the main popstar in 2020, so leaks are much more harmful now than they were in 2009.

PopRoyalty

She needs to promote the era with interviews and live performances and the power of social media and current generation trend to make this song a hit but she has not done anything it might be because of the coronavirus why the promo campaign for this era is minimal.
