He should, as there is really no path to getting more delegates than Biden now.

He can take his money and donate it to other down ballot candidates he wants to support.

Take a break, enjoy his lake house during the spring and summer. It has a beautiful view!

If you hate Trump that much, you should vote for someone who is not Trump and has a chance to win!

Don't just stop voting because your preferred candidate didn't get the nomination..

Otherwise, be prepared to be stuck with Trump for another four years and you have no right to complain!

it's a pretty simple mental calculation. i myself was warren, then sanders, and if sanders drops out, biden. it's surprising that progressives really tanked this time. maybe next time supporters should not go around turning people off to a candidate so badly that a ton of people stay home -_-

edit:

progressives are on the same side. to nitpick to the point people were is ridiculous

That is admirable. Hope he will enjoy The Bahamas or wherever he will decide to go to spend his down time at. :flower:

Thank you Bernie for the inspiration and hope you instilled. Now it’s time for the actual next generation to carry the torch.

He should be suspending, sooner or later. Every day he stays in is a day the party remains divided and cannot focus on the general election to defeat Trump.

He has said before he will support the nominee whoever it is. Looking forward to that.

As for this news, unlike his supporters on this website, I'll be generous enough to say he did quite a lot in the last 5 years to advance progressive ideas. But he has failed to broaden his coalition beyond his base twice now.

It's time to do the right thing now. Bye Bernie.

This is my issue with Americans. They vote for the face not the policies or like things that matter. Literally and it’s why America will continue to be in 21 T in debt and growing, have half of its population making less than a living wage, have half of its population with horrible to no healthcare. It’s what they voted for and it’s what they want.

I'm literally heart broken but so damn grateful for all Bernie has done. This is an end of a long chapter. I'm so proud of all that he has done and the way he helped shift the political narrative and brought so many new ideas that would have been seen as absurd only a few years ago and now are becoming achievable policies.

I know he is old and suffered a heart attack meaning he will not run for presidency again but I really hope his impact is felt and we have new candidates that grew up watching him, studying him and being inspired by him to support in the future.

I'm not even American but his message has touched my soul. Everyone knows America is THE leading country in the world. Whatever you guys do EVERYONE feels it. Whether it is good or bad. We all suffer because of you or rejoice because of you. The world revolves around your policies so please vote responsibly as much as you can and though America should always be your #1 priority please do think of all of us from smaller countries around the world and how your president will impact us too.

Any ways I'm feeling so down today. Sending so much love and courage to all my "Bernie Bros" on here. You've been judged and misunderstood just as Bernie has been his whole life. I hope we can reincarnate as a new group when the new candidate that reminds us of Bernie comes around. It may be a long while or it may be as soon as the next election but we will always have Bernie's amazing ideals and vision in our heart when we support whoever it may be.

Something tells me Ocasio Cortez will carry the torch he started

Its like he's an old mentor and she's like his protege

Unlike the immature moderates, we will be supporting the nominee in November.

Just because people have been mean to us online doesn't mean we can't vote for X candidate.

And our disagreements are on policy, not how a candidate's supporters make us feel.

 The Democratic Party at whole is “the same side”. The fundamental idea that some candidates are “the progressives” and others aren’t is why Trump won in 2016. We split ideological moderate vs progressive and experienced (“establishment”) vs young. It’s the same as the Tea Party movement. We need to look at candidates as individuals, not as members of some factional wing of the party. It’s way more complicated than this vs that. Warren and Sanders were fundamentally different campaigns as was Biden and Klobuchar.

I got drunk
