Well you sure guys look really intelligent now but EVERY-****ING-BODY here was craving for MTN to be a single and thought it would smash.

And the first time we heard Judas we were all excited about its radio performance because it got that Bad Romance powerful chorus/vibe.

So please, stop always blaming Interscope. Some mistakes were made but at the end of the day, they mostly did their job.

Not me. I never suported MTN as a single, i thought that it was a awful choice.

Judas in the other hand, do people who know the song really know that it was a flop? Back then i used to think it was a hit the music video was always playing on MTV. It did okay WW.

Hair wouldn't have saved anything.

I would've rather Gaga flopped with something like 'HML' than have a hit with that embarrassing, tacky piece of garbage that sounds like it was written by Katy Perry and produced by school children.

If hair sound like Katy that means the radio and public will eat it up

This :tea:

I love MTN, but i didn't like it as a single, Hair would've done way better!

I wouldnt have minded if Gaga flopped with HML tbqh. :nails:

I still think she could have squeezed something else after MTN around Jan, just for kicks. She already flopped anyway.

Judas was a GOOD single choice. The timing was the problem. Yes, the song leaked but there was no need to limit sales to 3 days. They should of kept the original Monday release and Gaga could have scored another Top 5 debut if that were the case. Not to mention, Easter Sunday of all times. :fail: If it had been handled differently it would of done better. Radio, seeing the song maintaining itself digitally, would of been forced to play it, it would of gone Top 10 on Pop, it peaked at #15 on Pop and that is quite good considering the circumstances, imagine how it could of done if things had gone differently.

MTN was the second best-selling song from the album on it's release week. That is a good way of determining singles and I think Interscope made an exceptional choice. No one predicted the GP's reaction to the song would be so poor.

Hmm you made an appreciation thread for Hair

I appreciate the fact it was an empowerment anthem, but after BTW? no thanks

Scheisse wouldve been a better choice

Hair would have performed better than Marry the Night or anything else left on the album. Marry the Night is a better song, but radio and teenagers would have loved Hair.

True, it's a bit tacky but singles are songs that are meant to sell and garner radio plays. American radio would NEVER have accepted HML or Scheiße and the last thing Gaga needs to do is further distance herself by releasing songs like that. At least Marry the Night didn't cause any damage.

Sums up perfectly how bad 2012 was for pop music.
