_Lam 597
After this messy 2012 year, I won't accept any Gaga shade anymore. Rihanna 70k second week. Kesha 80k first week. Nicki Minaj re-remix-rerelease-edition flopping hard after a rough era and only 1 hit. Madonna MDNA already out of the charts. Christina Aguilera ultimate flop, the second one in a row, confirming her death status in the industry. Just remember BTW debut sales (album and single) and sold out world tour. Than try to shade. EarnYourLeather 231
I think Ke$ha is flopping because of piracy. Despite the low numbers, there are A LOT of people on my Facebook talking about the album. I guess she doesn't have a huge rabid stan base to go out and buy one or twenty copies lol. They just pirate it.

In fact, she is flopping and I'm pretty sure it's just because no one want to buy a Kesha album, anything new here.

I was not stating facts, bb. I was just trying to decode the issue based off of what I know; it's just opinion. Please see the bolded. Ozzy8923 9
#12 debut for Scream & Shout. Well, it didn't get Top 10 BUT with sales remaining consistent and radio airplay increasing, it will probably go up the 2 spots it needs for Top 10. 196K is very good for such a low sales climate during these months. BUT, another day, another record for Ms. Spears: "Scream & Shout" vaults from #66 to #1 in its second week on Hot Digital Songs. Billboard's Gary Trust reports that that constitutes the biggest leap to #1 in the history of the digital sales chart. It surpasses the #57 to #1 surge of "Breaking Free" in January 2006 by the High School Musical team of Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens. This is the seventh career #1 on that chart for both will.i.am and Spears. For will.i.am, it follows five chart-toppers with the Peas and the aforementioned smash with Usher. Yay!

I just really thought that there were a lot more people anticipating her album. Then again I didn't BUY her album ... :fan:

Ozzy8923 9
* Isn't it funny that Rihanna stans are saying she is the biggest pop star on Earth when she is not even outselling an artist who is FAR past her peak and has been around for double the time she has? Not to mention, one release in the brink of spring while the other one released in the brink of the album sales boom. Femme Fatale opening week sales: 275K. Second week sales: 75K. vs. Unapologetic opening week sales: 239K. Second week sales: 72K. Both are each artists' seventh album. Just try to fathom that. Rihanna has as many albums as BRITNEY SPEARS.
