I tried investing with just a couple of hundred a few years ago just to EXPLORE this thing but didn’t have much success. I know it’s a long term thing but I didn’t have the time to invest my time and energy into this so I didn’t want to risk losing too much money. An account I started in 2017 with $35,000 of inheritance had gotten up to almost $45,000 and is back down to about $35,000. I don't manage that portfolio though, it's automated by Fidelity.
